The Role
You will support the team to provide essential learning and accessibility support to young people and adults with SEN which includes facilitating their access to and achievement of learning programmes, supporting their access to all College services and College led activities and facilitating personal development of learning/study skills and educational outcomes including those relevant to individual Educational Health & Care Plans (EHCPs)
You will be required to provide person-centred learning support to students with severe and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities which may include supporting them with personal care where necessary. You may work with individuals or small groups and encourage students to engage with activities or work independently.
Skills and Experience
You will have good literacy and numeracy skills and have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, teachers, parent/carers and, other agencies involved with the students. Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and an understanding of safeguarding and discrimination issues and the difficulties faced by those with learning difficulties are essential.
You must be willing to assist learners with regards to their personal care and mobility, taking instructions from learners regarding their support needs. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability establish good working relationships. You’ll also have exceptional organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills. The Role
You will be working in the Learning Centre supporting students and staff in all aspects of the use of the Learning Centres. Provide study skills and information retrieval skills support, and accessibility technology support. Support the development of and deliver study skills sessions (one to one or groups) and research, develop and maintain resources. Contribute to the development of e-learning strategies and resources. Promote the service with students and staff. Identify and respond to curriculum needs.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a library environment or familiar with working in a learning support role. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to effectively motivate and inspire others. The Role
The main objectives of the post are to assist the Purchase and Sales Ledger Team Leader and the Financial Controller through accurate processing of transactions, daily management of the Purchase Ledger and supplier account reconciliations. Assist in the management of an efficient Expenditure and Creditors service that is fully compliant with current legislation and internal financial regulations. To ensure that specified monthly deadlines are achieved and to ensure the accuracy of transactions processed within his/her area of remit. The post holder is required to provide an efficient customer service to internal and external customers.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will be qualified to an NVQ 2 level or equivalent in finance, business administration or similar in addition to having some recent experience in working in accounts payable/ expenditure. They would have experience in reconciling control accounts and bank reconsolidations and would have a good knowledge of working with IT systems. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills with attention to deal and excellent organisational skills.
