Zaytouna Primary is a larger than average, over-subscribed inner city Islamic Faith school dedicated to providing an excellent education for all our children in partnership with Transform Trust. Eastwood Grange School are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join our Education team now! We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.
Eastwood Grange School is a specialist day school located in the village of Ashover, near Chesterfield, for boys and girls aged 5-18 years. The pupils exhibit a variety of severe and complex educational, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, which have impeded personal developmental and educational success. Many of the pupils have a number of diagnoses. Our pupils have failed in, or have been failed by, a variety of settings before coming to Eastwood Grange School. They arrive at Eastwood Grange very disengaged with education and life after having experienced many breakdowns and trauma.
As well as our full time role - 37.5 hours per week over 39 weeks (Full-time – Term-time), we will now be offering part time roles too:
2 days a week – 15 hours per week over 39 weeks
3 days a week – 22.5 hours per week over 39 weeks

We are seeking to appoint a Site Technician to join our friendly team at Ivy House! The role is to provide routine cleaning and/or caretaking tasks to support the effective operation of the school. We are seeking to appoint Health and Welfare Support Assistants (HWSA) with the capacity to support the health and welfare needs of all pupils at Ivy House School. You will support the pupils in several areas across school. Predominantly this will be safely administering enteral feeding and supporting the administration of medication but may also include elements of supporting personal and intimate care, pupils’ physical needs, therapies (such as rebound and hydro therapy) and classroom support.
The successful candidate will be pupil-focused and have the desire and ability to support all our students with care and mutual respect. You will be able to work as part of a team and be keen to learn and develop. You will also have a strong commitment to improving the lives of all our pupils and ensuring they are happy, comfortable, safe and ready to learn.
A proven track record of working successfully with vulnerable children and/or adults in an education, health or care context and excellent communication skills are desirable for this role. Ideally you will have experience of enteral feeding and experience of the necessary clinical competencies to carry out enteral feeding and the administration of enteral medication. However, full training and competencies will be provided.

Our Special settings cater for children and young people with a wide range of Special Educational Needs from children with profound medical needs and life limiting conditions, those with severe, moderate and sensory needs through to young people with social emotional and mental health needs that require support and understanding to help them to navigate their world.
All the pupils within our Special Schools have an individualised education and are educated in small classes and groups with enhanced support to ensure that all of their needs are met. Salary: Grade 3 10-13 £22,737-£23,115 (Pay Award Pending)
Actual Salary: £17,408-£17,697
Working hours: 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year plus 5 days Inset

An exciting opportunity has become available for Teaching Assistants to join the Ivy House team from September 2024.
Applicants must have:
NVQ Level 2 or demonstration of knowledge and skill or experience
Assist children in matters of personal needs and their general health including first aid training, medical support and welfare matters
Good understanding of areas of learning for students with SEND e.g.; Literacy, Numeracy, Science, SEN & Early Years
Experience of supporting children’s learning in a school or similar setting.
Have the motivation to work with children and young people.
You will work under the direct instruction of teaching staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher. Providing specific support to the teacher in the care of pupils and management of the classroom. Work may be undertaken in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
