What is the role

Protecting and enhancing revenue through delivering first class, timely customer service from all methods of customer contact. Working within a busy, vibrant department this role will encompass all aspects of ‘Front Line Customer Service’, including complaint handling, problem solving and management of online customer reviews.

WHAT IS THE ROLE
As the fastest growing fashion retailer in the UK with multichannel presence across the high street, internet and marketplaces, Social Media is a key to the visibility, growth and success of our 6 brands. With a small established Social Media team, we are now looking for a Head of Social, a strategic thinker with a hands on approach, with high level knowledge and experience of Social Media from a fashion perspective able to elevate the social presence of the brands, taking into consideration the target market. Lead, inspire and manage the existing team to grow individuals and the team to develop the function to its full potential. With a close working relationship across the business with the trading, marketing, buying, studio, creative and design teams you will coordinate activity and campaigns as well as formulating and delivering upon a Social Media strategy to fully harness the potential of all relevant existing and upcoming platforms. WHAT IS THE ROLE
The fundamental role of the Creative Studio Manager is pivotal in this fast-paced department. This role requires a creative individual who can drive the operations, strategic planning, and continually evaluate the performance of the department in delivering the high standard of E-commerce imagery expected. The Creative Studio Manger will have a keen eye for detail and collaborate with leading roles for Art direction and creative tech roles such as Photography and Retouch.

The successful applicant will be accountable for the sleek end to end department processes that ensure a high quality and timely, upload of imagery onto all relevant platforms. Driving innovation through the teams below whilst continually reviewing best practise.

This role will report directly into, and works closely with, the Brand Creative & Design Trend Forecaster.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Understand, and develop the studio creative vision across all brands and roll out across the department with support of the Leads

HAIR & MAKE UP LEAD

WHAT IS THE ROLE
As one of the key drivers of the creative, this role, reporting into the Creative Studio Manager is fundamental in ensuring our models look their best, in our online imagery. Leading the H&M team below to fully embody the brand identity, continually improve their skill and eye for detail- keeping up to date on current trends, influencer style, competitor reviews, while ensuring diversity and authenticity across the board.

Strategic planning and continual review of your team process is a must in this fast-paced environment. Working closely with the other department leads to not only QC the work produced in the department but bring innovation to our output. This role is hands on and will involve delivering H&M on the models, training the team below, alongside creative concept planning and focus shoots.

• Shape, and develop the studio’s Hair and Make Up creative vision across all brands and roll out across with in the H&M team

WHAT IS THE ROLE
A crucial role within the continually evolving Studio department. You will be a go to for the technical and creative vision of the photography team. Working closely with the Lead Retoucher, this role will be driven by producing quality imagery, fuelled by innovation. Reporting into the Creative Studio Manager, the main factors of this role will be to be accountable for all aspects of the Studio photography and lighting with a view to continually improve daily outputs and encourage new shooting techniques.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Lead a small team of photographers and be accountable for the delivery of high quality imagery, daily
• Work closely with the Lead Retouch to regularly review studio imagery with a view to push creative boundaries and improve studio output

This role requires a creative flair, along with competency in Photoshop. You must have an eye for fashion as well accuracy and working to tight deadlines. You will be working closely with the Photographers and the content team in order to ensure the department updates and maintains their content to create a compelling user experience.

• Responsible for editing all ecommerce model imagery to a fast pace.
• Producing mannequin cut outs to a perfected standard and editing web shoot model images to a standard ready to go online.

With a multichannel presence across the high street, internet and an evolving and increasing presence across market places, the forecasting and management of stock is critical for business success. Working with the Buying team the role of Merchandiser is to produce a commercial product range for a given product area or brand. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Analyse and report on sales performance putting forward a substantiated case for further areas of opportunity or risks to sales and profit
• Consistent awareness of best and worst sellers for the brand and your individual departments, proposing repeats where appropriate
• Understanding the market and up to date knowledge of competitors and comparators
• Management of the stock & critical path through effective communication with Buyers on open to buy, stock levels and performance to sales budgets and targets
• Effectively manage stock levels in line with budgets and current trade performance
• Ensure a thorough knowledge of the departmental supply base and the associated advantages and disadvantages of different sources
• Accurately maintain the Weekly Sales Stock & Intake (WSSI) ensuring conformance to agreed KPI’s
• Maintain appropriate balance of price point and product mix throughout the season
• Ensure best sellers are covered in forward ranges and flow lines are maintained
• Highlight any potential issues with the Head of Merchandising
• Control profit through working with the Buyer to ensure intake margins are maximised
• Take agreed action on markdowns, processing on the system and analyse their effectiveness
• Ensures correct ranking of buys in order to minimise markdown
• Produce a commercial range plan maximising best sellers & lessons learnt
• Ensure best sellers are covered
• Ensure appropriate product launch timing and balance the provision of season appropriate range across all different markets covered by product area or brand
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with key partners across the business, with particular emphasis on the Buying, Retail, Logistics and Finance teams

• Create and maintain productive relationships with key product suppliers

WHAT IS THE ROLE
As a Junior Merchandiser you will trade the Company through effective management and planning of stocks. This will include managing intake, allocations to stores, sales, markdowns and promotional activity.

As a Junior Merchandiser you will be responsible for assisting the Merchandiser in the purchasing, intake and distribution of merchandise across the UK in order to maximise sales and margin within the assigned departments of responsibility.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Trading and Commercial Awareness
• Analyse and report on sales performance of the department taking ownership on decisions of any opportunities or risks to sales and profit
• Consistent awareness of best and worst sellers for the department and company and identifying opportunities for growth
• Conduct regular store visits to obtain direct feedback from staff and customers
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the plus size market

Stock Management
• Take ownership of maintaining all aspects of the departmental WSSI
• Work closely with the Buying team on open to buy (OTB) status of WSSI and ensuring OTB is filled accordingly
• Take ownership of flow lines for the department
• Maintain line details and range plan
• Work with branch merchandising on allocations

Profit Management
• Understand the key components around profit and how it is calculated
• Action agreed markdowns on the system and analyse the effectiveness of them
• Knowledge of the departments OTB and stock levels understands the implications of being under or over stocked

Range Planning
• Analyse all historical data and lessons learnt for strategy packs
• Under guidance of Merchandiser and in conjunction with Buyer constructs a range to deliver key blocks as well as newness and true choice to the customer
• Continuously review range in line with current trading to maximise profits
• Review depth and width to maximise availability and minimise markdown risk

Relationships with Others
• Under guidance of Merchandiser develops junior members of the team

• Maintain excellent communication links with colleagues from the Buying and Merchandising departments
• Communicate effectively across all levels and via all channels
