Who are we looking for? 

Wolt’s service was launched in Japan in 2020 and since joining forces with DoorDash last year, we have now grown into a few product development teams locally in Japan. We are now looking for a few Backend Kotlin Engineers and Frontend Engineers to build a new team from the ground up - the Consumer Pricing Team!

As a backend engineer on our team, you’ll collaborate closely with our other talented backend engineers, product lead, designer, and data experts to build and refine our pricing models. You’ll partner with our Web engineers to design and implement pricing configurability in our internal toolings, execute A/B testing experiments, and find the perfect balance between customer satisfaction and company profitability. Your work will directly impact how millions of customers experience our platform, making pricing smarter, fairer, and more transparent.

As a Web Engineer on our team, you’ll collaborate with skilled web and backend engineers, along with our product lead and designer, to work closely with business and operations teams. Together, you’ll design and implement pricing configurations in our internal tools and run A/B testing experiments, all aimed at achieving the perfect balance between customer satisfaction and company profitability. Your work will directly impact how millions of customers experience pricing on our platform!

What is Wolt Drive

Wolt Drive is our most recent new venture where we offer businesses the opportunity to connect to their customers instantly with the use of our ultra-fast last mile delivery. 

We already have an industry-leading last-mile logistics platform and partnerships with thousands of riders across the country and can now offer it to partners outside of the Wolt Platform - and directly connect our quick delivery services to their app or e-com platform.

About the role

As a Business Manager of Wolt Drive you will play a key role in building business strategy, and execution, as well as improving operational efficiencies of Wolt Drive partners, ensuring the best possible partnership. Also the Business Manager  will act as a key communicator between our cross functional team and partners in order to ensure optimal success.

What you'll be doing

• Developing, implementing, and driving business strategies and own commercials and operations for key partners and merchants
• Cross-functionally work with Sales teams to support full sales cycles, perform business analysis, and directly lead business negotiations where necessary
• Onboard partners into our systems by working with multiple stakeholders as TAM, operations, support, and onboarding team.
• Driving and managing growth of the existing merchants and partners acting as a main PoC.
• Assisting the rest of the Wolt Drive team in any additional tasks related to working with partners.

The Business Development team at Wolt is a fast-paced, high-performing group responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing strategic partnerships. This team is central to Wolt’s continued growth as we expand our reach and develop new products to serve our customers better. We work closely with senior leadership, operations, product, and finance teams to guide company strategy. As a Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships at Wolt, you will be responsible for leading Wolt’s growth through innovative and strategic collaborations. You will own the formation of business cases, external and internal communications, and deal negotiations that drive Wolt’s ambitious goals. 

In this role, you will:

• Identify, research, and recommend industries, companies, and technologies that align with Wolt’s strategic goals.

• Lead the partnership process, including financial/strategic analysis, due diligence, and negotiations.

• Build and nurture relationships with leaders across various industries, including investment banking and venture capital firms.

The CRM Manager, reporting to the Head of Marketing Strategy & Planning, is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of customer communication efforts across the market. This role is pivotal in optimizing our customer interactions, to drive engagement, retention and loyalty of our customer base. You will play a key role by concepting, creating, optimizing our communication for designed regional campaigns, and country campaigns. You will own the marketing channel inventory of the country, overseeing the allocation, usage, and optimization of various channels for partners/vertical campaigns. Job Overview

The Head of Rx and Partnership Marketing is a strategic role focused on building and enhancing relationships with restaurants across Japan. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Japan, this individual will lead initiatives to partner with restaurants from a marketing perspective, develop co-marketing campaigns, spearhead merchant marketing, and leverage these partnerships to drive platform growth.

One of the greatest growth levers for Wolt is the collaboration with our partners. Working together with local heroes, enterprise partners and other brands will be a key way for us to enable growth for both ourselves and our partners. This role involves honing that functional expertise and deploying it across the countries within the region.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead the team of Japan Restaurant Partnership Marketing Manager/Specialist and ensure their strategic alignment.
• Identify and secure new non-retail partnerships, while nurturing existing relationships on a regional level.
• Accountable for reaching new and existing users through in-store presence amongst our merchants.
• Participate in meetings with bigger accounts with local teams.
• Design and execute joint marketing campaigns with non-retail partners to increase visibility and drive mutual growth.

Job Overview

As an Rx and Partnership Marketing Manager/Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing partnership marketing strategies at a country level, reporting directly to the Head of Regional Rx and Partnership Marketing. You will be responsible for the regional growth of our restaurant vertical. You will collaborate with our country's commercial counterparts, to develop partnerships with the enterprise accounts, local heroes as well as other local restaurant partners (SMB). You will leverage your expertise in relationship building, for identifying mutually beneficial partnerships that aim both at acquiring as well as engaging with our partners to drive efficiently incremental GOV. You will develop annual co-marketing strategies on a regional level but also owning the development on a country level, to ensure these partnerships align with our broader marketing objectives. You will also drive partnerships with 3rd party players to drive incremental platform growth, for example collaboration payment providers or 3rd parties to drive Wolt+ subscriber growth.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Be responsible for Restaurant Partnership engagement and acquisition, acting as the marketing counterpart to commercial teams
• Overseeing the vertical budget efficiency, and ensuring integrated partnership campaigns into holistic plans on a regional level

Wolt’s service was launched in Japan in 2020 and since joining forces with DoorDash last year, we now have a product development team locally in Japan focused on unlocking the product challenges provided by the market. 

As an Engineering Team Lead you will be leading our enterprise team to make sure that we continue maintaining and building enterprise features, as well as collaborate with other teams to roll out features that are more relevant in Japan. The products are used by not only Japanese consumers but worldwide in 23 countries. We want to delight our users and provide a seamless experience - if you care about the little things, and are bothered by the smallest inconsistencies and bugs, this is the role for you.

Enterprise is hugely important in Japan - in many of our other countries, a large Merchant might have hundreds of venues. In Japan, Enterprise chains such as 7-11 can have over 20,000 stores! This completely changes the way we approach our business relationship and tooling - we need tools and interfaces that support thousands of venues (a simple drop-down won’t do), we need to support their business operations via detailed dashboards, and automate as much of the manual work as possible to make things like menu changes and campaigns manageable. We also work with our DoorDash counterparts in the US to learn as much as possible from what has been built for the US market in the Enterprise space.

The role is based in the Tokyo office and is not a fully-remote role, so while we expect you to be located in the Tokyo area, we provide relocation support to help you make your way to Japan.
