Construction Manager Responsibilities & Duties
Lead the pre-construction planning process, including budgeting, scheduling, and manpower allocation
Develop and implement construction plans and schedules, and monitor progress to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
Oversee construction activities and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
Manage subcontractors and construction personnel, and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with contract specifications
Conduct site inspections, and address any issues or concerns that arise during construction
Coordinate and communicate effectively with project owners, stakeholders, and other relevant parties to ensure that projects are completed to their satisfaction
Construction Manager Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, or related field
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
