The role will be to manage and provide efficient and effective facilities support to the School ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained to good standards.

You will be required to work across both sites, overseeing a small team of maintenance staff and cleaners.

An example of duties include:

• To ensure heating plant and equipment is efficiently and effectively operated, make adjustments as necessary and report defects and malfunctions to the Principal/Business Manager.
• To be responsible for maintaining the security of the premises (buildings and grounds) and its contents including monitoring the school’s CCTV system.
• Maintain light fittings replacing where necessary minor parts such as tubes, bulbs, fuses, starters and diffusers, in accordance with safe working practices.
• Remedial action after break-ins, for example boarding up broken windows, reglazing small and large internal windows

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an organised and detail orientated individual to join the team at South Hunsley School and Sixth Form as an Administration Assistant who will play a key role inproviding comprehensive and effective administrative and customer service support.

The working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday during the school term. You will also be paid for an additional 12 days per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development that sits outside your normal working hours. You will also be required to work some days during the school holidays. Your actual salary will be £21,380.85 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.
