We are looking for a caring, nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will spend two days a week in our nursery class, you will be supporting pupils aged from two up to when they start reception at four years old.

You will spend the other three days a week supporting pupils of various ages as part of our “Rockpool” - Targeted Mainstream Provision (TMP) for children with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) for the primary need of Social, Emotional and Mental Health.

The provision for each child is tailored to their individual needs, with academic input, work on their EHCP targets, and addressing the gaps in their Boxall profile. Each bespoke timetable created by senior staff will ensure that gaps in each child’s development will be reduced and that their strengths and abilities are nurtured and allowed to flourish within a small, safe environment.

We also support children in moving between the Rockpool and the relevant mainstream class, so that our children can develop friendships with their peers and gradually increase the time spent with their year group cohort.

This is a wonderfully rewarding opportunity to see your positive influence upon the pupils’ development. You will work within our provision alongside the class teacher and other support staff.

You will work under the guidance of the class teacher and will also liaise with the SENCO, support staff and other professionals in order to provide appropriate support to our pupils.

We have an exciting opportunity which has arisen for someone who is conscientious, enthusiastic and well organised ! As our Receptionist / Administration Assistant you’ll join our valued and established Business team here at Co-op Academy Delius. In your role, you will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties ensuring compliance and safeguarding protocols are adhered to and will provide general administrative support across our Academy. With a welcoming and friendly demeanour you’ll provide a customer focused and efficient reception service acting as the first point of contact to greet parents/carers and visitors to our Academy and manage the day-to-day telephone and face-to-face enquiries we receive. You’ll provide general administration support to the Headteacher, Senior Leadership and assist in the day-to-day work of our very busy office. Duties will be varied and you'll work under the direction and guidance of the Business Manager within school policies, procedures and code of conduct. You must be flexible and be able to work at either of our sites to ensure the smooth running of the Academy.

• Whilst training of the IT packages in the Academy will be provided you will possess sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Google, Word, Excel) and have good grammar, numeracy and accurate keyboard skills
• Have a positive, can-do attitude, be adaptable and fully committed to the ethos of our Academy
• Experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
• As this role is customer facing in line with the Immigration Act 2016 you must be able to demonstrate fluency of the English Language to the level defined in the Job Description.

We are looking for a colleague to join the school’s Attendance Team to provide specialist administrative support to ensure the school meets statutory obligations regarding school attendance.

Main purpose of job

• Identify and implement intervention strategies to address and continually improve attendance and punctuality for targeted student groups.
• Maintain accurate manual and electronic records on behalf of the school.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitor accurate student attendance and lateness records on a daily basis.
• Follow up on student absences and lateness by telephone or other means, on a daily basis with guidance from relevant colleagues, making appropriate referrals.
• Check on late students.
• Ensure all unexplained absences are accounted for, seek the reason for absence via telephone or letter home if required.
• Check the accuracy and correct coding on registers.
• Follow the Attendance policy and send out letters as required.
• Identify and track vulnerable individuals and/or groups of students that require additional support to improve their levels of attendance and punctuality.
• Identify and implement intervention strategies to address poor attendance and celebrate excellent attendance.
• Deliver attendance interventions, where appropriate.
• Conduct home visits to students and parents/carers as appropriate.
• Initiate and follow through appropriate sanctions in liaison with the relevant colleagues and other professionals including fines and court action.
• In liaison with relevant colleagues/school management, attend follow-up meetings and other relevant meetings with parents/carers and/or other professionals to provide relevant information, offer support and seek ways in which the school can help improve individual attendance and punctuality.
• Liaise with outside agencies, parents/carers, social services, other schools and/or organisations in relation to information on student attendance and punctuality.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with all students, parents/carers, colleagues and other professionals.
• Assist and check records prior to the Census to ensure school attendance is accurate and up to date.
• Provide accurate and timely attendance and lateness reports to relevant colleagues, the leadership team and Governors.
• Provide updates for staff on student attendance.
• Keep up to date with training centred around attendance systems, such as SIMS, Insight, ClassCharts etc.
• Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection policy.
