About Tong Leadership Academy

Tong Leadership Academy is a state-of-the-art secondary school for 11 to 18 year olds in Bradford. We joined Star Academies in 2016 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.

We are a rapidly improving school with high ambitions and expectations for all of our pupils. Richmond Hill Academy are seeking to recruit a Class Teacher. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their potential across a range of exciting and evolving subjects. • A successful placement(s) teaching (applicants currently in training).

Shire Oak School, a comprehensive secondary school, was formed in 1970 by merging Shire Oak Grammar School, opened in 1961, with Walsall Wood Secondary Modern School, which had been moved to new buildings adjoining those of the grammar school in 1966. In September 2003 we received designation as a specialist science college. In April 2011, our school became an 11 to 18 comprehensive converter Academy. In October 2018, Shire Oak Academy alongside Aldridge School, Queen Mary’s Grammar School, Queen Mary’s High School and The Walsall Studio School formed The Mercian Academy Trust.
