The Process Manager is a new and exciting role in a growing business. As the Process Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising business processes to improve production area efficiency and asset OEE. This role involves working within cross-functional teams, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

As a Process Manager in the First Line Management area of TRIO, you will play a vital role in enhancing our manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of operational efficiency, safety, and compliance. The key accountabilities for this position include:



Manufacturing and Safety Oversight:
Represent manufacturing within the TRIO area, collaborating with Engineering and Technical peers.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including managing new substances under NONS and COSHH, and acting as the operational representative for process safety initiatives like Bow Tie analysis and Management of Change (MOC).
Performance Monitoring:
Own and monitor local Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), evaluating performance metrics against established targets.
Identify production deficiencies and prioritise structured responses to address them, reporting on performance as required.
Working with area Team Leaders and Management teams to provide insight and make data-driven decisions.
Process Improvement Initiatives:
Lead the deployment of the tiered Daily Management System (FLOW) using the appropriate methodologies.
Prepare detailed project scopes for improvement initiatives and manage the integration of new equipment through organised training and Safe Working Procedure (SWP) creation.
Documentation and Compliance Management:
Maintain Operational Management Systems, including working documents, standards, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the documentation of Safe Working Procedures to align with safety standards.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary operational contact for both internal and external stakeholders where required.
Collaborate with Technical Services & Product Development teams to manage Product Development Approval (PDA) planning from initiation to customer order acceptance guidelines (OAG) for products made within your responsible area.
Audit Coordination:
Serve as the main contact during internal product audits and assist with external audits as necessary to ensure compliance.
Continuous Improvement:
Take ownership of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Problem-Solving (PPS) applications where required.
Lead initiatives for waste management improvement and planning.

What you will do

As a Project Engineer, you will create project plans and proposals that will support and improve our business. You’ll oversee all stages of projects that are assigned to you, from initial concept, through execution to final acceptance, ensuring all work meets the relevant standards and guidelines from a design, safety and environmental standpoint. You will support by drafting technical specifications and requests for quotations from OEMs and contractor partners.



Your role involves the overseeing of project engineering activities to ensure the area you are responsible for is completed on time and to budget, safely and to the designed standard. Problem-solving and liaising with internal and external stakeholders is critical to your success.





What you will need

The Project Engineer will hold a strong background within the Heavy Industry sector. A degree in Engineering and Chartered Engineer status is desirable but not essential. A solid understanding of project management techniques, risk assessment, and safety study methods is ideal, however, individuals who are successful will be expected to develop themselves and training will be provided. Excellent communication skills are crucial, as you will represent the business externally and act as a company ambassador.



A high level of engineering competency in Electrical disciplines is expected. You should also have excellent time management, problem solving and analytical abilities.

What will you need:



To be considered for this position you must be qualified at a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade ideally obtained through a recognised craft or modern apprenticeship scheme.



The position also requires a competent Leader / engineer with experience in Service Centre or manufacturing activities. Demonstrable experience of Line management, relevant engineering discipline, continuous improvement processes, preventative maintenance techniques, dealing with contractors and suppliers.



The ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills and be computer literate. The ability to work without close supervision, yet under pressure and to tight timescales is essential.



You will need to demonstrate a sound electrical background and proven track record. The successful candidate will operate as part of a small team and should be fully conversant with current health & safety regulations.



Ideally you will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering / industrial environment, essential to the role is the ability to adapt to new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.

We are looking for someone to provide first line expertise to our manufacturing areas as part of a small, multi-disciplined engineering team.

Reporting to the shift engineer, you’ll:

Assist the engineering team in carrying out preventative & reactive maintenance
Continuously maintain Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensure safe working procedures are followed
Provide first line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtime
Suggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems through collaboratively working with relevant peers
Possess a high quality of work, ensuring any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and are robust enough to prevent recurrence
This position will operate on shift pattern working 12 hour Days and Nights, 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off.



What you will need

We want to speak to people that can bring a problem solving approach to their work. You’ll have completed an electrical apprenticeship, or possess a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar). Packaging Steel, based at Trostre in South Wales, is a downstream business of Tata Steel UK supplying material into well-known household brands and products such as Heinz beans, Nescafe Azera coffee and Gillette shaving foam. As well as having dominant position in the UK market, tin plate/laminated steel from Trostre is sent across Europe and the US into applications including food, baby food, aerosols, promotional packaging, bake ware and paint cans, all requiring different quality and product specifications. Material is the majority spend for these customers, making discussions on pricing, improvement and development activities critical, and strategic account management aligns the internal cross functional teams with customer requirements and market trends. There are exciting opportunities throughout the supply chain and within local communities to push the recycling and sustainability agenda in the Packaging Sector.

As a Combustions Systems Engineer you will provide, maintain and develop engineering services within Tata Steel UK. Our Combustion systems are defined as end-to-end systems from control and monitoring to the burner, including all electrical, electronic, mechanical and instrument systems.

You’ll be a key part as the Combustion System expert for the Manufacturing area assessing the capability of the process units and recommend ways to improve safety and maximise efficiency, whilst reducing baseline costs.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Operations team at the Steelpark site in Wolverhampton. As the largest operational facility in Distribution UK & Ireland, our Steelpark site plays a pivotal role in the success of our business.



Our Shift Maintenance engineers work a 3 shift pattern, Monday - Friday and are responsible for proficiently servicing all process and auxiliary equipment within Steelpark, with a focus on reducing downtime and enhancing cost efficiency.

The Finance function of Tata Steel Europe is in the process of implementing a new structure, which is aligned with and can effectively support the new company-operating model. This includes delivering a world-class accounting, operational and analytical reporting service to UK and overseas subsidiaries from a centralised department in Port Talbot.

As a Senior Reporting Accountant with Tata Steel UK you will gain an overview of the business and be expected to address technical accounting issues associated with the business transition towards the Electric Arc Furnace and the production of greener steel.

You’ll be a key part of the Finance Department within Tata Steel UK where we recently implemented a new state of the art SAP Central Finance and Group Reporting system which has created a number of changes in the Finance processes and has the potential to deliver further future improvements for the business.

As you develop into the role of a Senior Reporting Accountant, the opportunity to work within other varied areas of the Finance function will form part of your continuous improvement.

Oversee the day to day deployment of agreed strategies and tactics for a portfolio of customers and monitor performance against a number of specific KPI’s
Top line delivery of a sales plan, negotiating within agreed parameters
The ability to develop and execute account plans for customers where required
To develop effective and clear commercial contracts and Service Level Agreements, taking responsibility for driving the implementation and delivery of these
The ability to Identify opportunities, value propositions, methods of communication with customers and prospects across the customer base and the whole of the Sector
This is a people facing role where the successful candidate will be out and about, meeting with customers and managing their own diary.

What you will do

A vacancy has arisen for an Electrical Team Member to join the Engineering team based at the 20” Pipe Mill, Hartlepool.

We are looking for someone to provide first line expertise to our manufacturing areas as part of a small, multi-disciplined engineering team.

Reporting to the shift engineer, you’ll:

Assist the engineering team in carrying out preventative & reactive maintenance
Continuously maintain Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensure safe working procedures are followed
Provide first line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtime
Suggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems through collaboratively working with relevant peers
Possess a high quality of work, ensuring any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and are robust enough to prevent recurrence
This position will operate on shift pattern working 12 hour Days and Nights, 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off.



What you will need

We want to speak to people that can bring a problem solving approach to their work. You’ll have completed an electrical apprenticeship, or possess a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar). The successful candidate will ideally have a background in heavy engineering manufacturing, as well as possessing excellent interpersonal skills.

We’d also love to speak with individuals who have experience with:

Industrial/domestic wiring
Overhead Cranes & associated safety systems
PLC's in the main Siemens & Allen Bradley including HMI's
Expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurations
Variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, including speed feedback devices
Interpret electrical drawings
Awareness of Safety related control systems

Building Systems UK is downstream business within Tata Steel UK. The business sells Building Solutions, products & processing services predominantly into the construction industry. The product range is the most diverse in the market place, with an offering including structural roof and flooring decks, built up and insulated composite panel systems, processing and ancillary building products.

Building Systems UK operates from a single manufacturing base in Shotton, North Wales. It’s global brands are widely specified across the UK, EU and Rest of the world. The customer base is categorised into three distinct areas; Manufacturers, Specifiers and Contractors. Different sales techniques are required for each discipline with the business development team focus upon the ‘specifier’ (Engineer & Architect) working together with the Sales team who focus on securing orders with the contractor, the ‘transaction’ Contracts.


What you will do

Reporting to the Internal Sales Manager, the position exists to ensure that all price enquiries are dealt with in line with agreed service levels and proactive sales calls are made to “sell” the range of products within the portfolio.

Additional responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to

To respond to customer pricing enquiries ensuring that they are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner, whilst maximising margin opportunities for the business
Develop and maintain regular contact with new and existing customers in order to develop strong relationships, ensure repeat business from accounts & support commercial targets
Using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensure leads generated are actively tracked, enquiries/quotes are logged, & projects specified are converted from tender stage to contractor award
Proactively manage customer quotations, effective tracking of live quotations as well as cold calling prospective new customers in order to achieve target quote conversion rates by product
Support the resolution of commercial related customer complaints to ensure timely &, wherever possible, amicable solutions are reached to the satisfaction of both parties
Ensure that operations, including those undertaken on the Company’s behalf by third party service providers, are conducted in a manner that fully complies with health and safety, quality, environmental and corporate policies


What you will need

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication & interpersonal skills, ideally honed through sales exposure to contractors and within a construction environment. The jobholder will be a self starter with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales, with a proven track record in sales.



A proven ability to develop and sustain excellent relationships with contractors is essential for this role.



The role requires strong influencing skills coupled with drive and enthusiasm indicative of a proactive approach.
