About the role:
We are now looking for a Multi-Skilled Technician to deliver all aspects of property maintenance and repairs across the South West Care Homes portfolio both internal and external. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be based to our Okehampton head office with a vehicle provided during working hours as travel across sites will be necessary.
You will carry out minor repairs to the home’s equipment as well as any plumbing, electrical and larger jobs of fabric maintenance.

What you’ll need
You will have comprehensive knowledge of construction and housebuilding trades e.g., Painting, Decorating, Plastering, Carpentry and Joinery.
You will be organised, self-motivated with a high level of personal respect and integrity for others. You will work independently in addition to working as part of a small team with established processes and procedures therefore you will be flexible, prioritise work and take initiative.

Hours: Mon-Fri 40 hrs/wk. (+ some weekend on call)

About the role:
We are now looking for a Chef or Cook to join our friendly, professional team at our beautifully located home with sea views in Perranporth.
One of your key responsibilities will be preparing meals from the daily menu. You will get to know our lovely residents and respond to any special dietary requirements or preferences, promoting choice, dignity and respect
You will complete all necessary paperwork such as HACPP, whilst adhering to company policies and procedures. You will also manage the kitchen supplies and be responsible for checking and maintaining kitchen equipment.
Occasionally, you will help cater for ad hoc special events. These may include 100th birthday celebrations, summer BBQ’s and Christmas parties.


What you’ll need:
You will have experience in working in a kitchen and hold a Food Hygiene Certificate. You will always strive for the highest standard of catering and will be passionate about food and understand the importance of good quality, home cooking to our residents.

Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £12.50 or £13.50 per hour (depending on qualifications & experience)
Expected hours: 47.5 hours in weeks 1 & 3 - 38 hours in weeks 2 & 4


The post is 5 shifts per week in weeks 1 & 3 and 4 shifts per week in weeks 2 & 4 and they are from 08:00 – 18.00 including weekends. The rota is:

Wk. 1. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
Wk. 2. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Wk. 3. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
Wk. 4. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
