The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop/produce/investigate obfuscation algorithms that will take advantage of quantum primitives. The techniques developed will aid in obfuscating quantum programs, quantum-classical hybrid programs and classical programs. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our dynamic research team at SIT Teaching & Learning Academy (STLA). The research assistant will play a crucial role in project management, data collection and analysis and present findings to various stakeholders. The core of this role will be to assist in several new research projects which explore various approaches for how Generative AI (GAI) and Large Language Models (LLMS) can be used to facilitate better teaching and learning practices. We are looking for a research engineer with a passion for developing and maintaining highly interactive gamified cross-platform apps. The primary responsibility of this role will be to design and develop the gamification features of this application to encourage desirable user behaviors and encourage more regular language learning activities for users.

Lecturer/Assistant Professor - Game Development and Project Management

The Department of Game Software Design and Production is seeking an applicant with expertise in current game/project management, and the ability to assist in teaching game/simulation-based project courses.

We are primarily looking for someone with experience as a project manager in the game development or software development industries. A proven track record of planning projects, assessing risks and opportunities, creating budgets, communicating with stakeholders, troubleshooting problems and resolving obstacles to project completion.

This position is offered at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor rank. Candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for appointment at the rank of Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor.

NOTE: This position can be part-time or full-time depending on a candidate’s level of interest and personal commitment.

We have positions in the area of food structure development of texture modified foods. We invite outstanding and talented candidates who are passionate about foods and have a strong desire to develop or enhance their R&D competencies to apply for these positions.

This role is to develop foods that meet the mince and moist textural attributes. These types of foods have two components, the continuous matrix and the particulates. The position will evaluate methods to formulate and prepare the two components as well as determining the overall sensorial properties and structure stability of the final product. The position requires a strong background in materials science, food chemistry, mechanical characterization, meat/vegetable processing and food product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
• Undertake these key responsibilities in the project:

1. Determine and formulate composition of food products
2. Conduct and evaluate appropriate experimental and analytical studies
3. Work with other team members on sensory and nutritional evaluation to develop into the final product

• Document, publish and present research findings to project stakeholders
• Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations.
• Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers.

Job Requirements:

• An excellent degree in food science, colloidal science or related area
• Passion for developing and analysing the behaviour of foods
• Evidence of strong knowledge and interest in food chemistry, texture characterization and applications of hydrocolloids and proteins
• Evidence of ability to lead, manage and perform research independently as well as in a group
• For candidates with PhD qualification, consideration to appoint at research fellow is possible

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Sensory Scientist to lead a project focused on setting up a sensory panel with elderly trained panellists and the development of texture-modified foods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sensory science, with experience in panel training, conducting various sensory evaluation methods, and product development. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique sensory and nutritional needs of elderly consumers, particularly in relation to texture modification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
• Undertake these key responsibilities in the project:
  1. Recruit, train, and manage a panel of elderly sensory panellists
  2. Collaborate with other research engineers to develop texture-modified foods, focusing on improving palatability, safety, and nutritional value
  3. Analyze sensory data using statistical techniques to provide insights into key attributes of the products and consumer preferences
  4. Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal stakeholders and external partners
  5. Identify opportunities for improvements and innovations in sensory evaluation and product development

Job Requirements:

• An excellent degree in food technology or food science or chemistry, preferably with prior exposure in sensory evaluation
• Having experience as a panel leader is preferred, but optional
• Strong background in sensory evaluation methods, including descriptive analysis, discrimination tests and consumer acceptance
• Proficiency in statistical analysis of sensory data and familiar with statistical and/or sensory software
• Evidence of ability to lead, manage and perform research independently as well as in a group
