The Role

Successful candidate will be participating in the implementation of new projects and providing day to day operational support of IT systems.

Key accountabilities

• Maintain and support new/ existing IT systems

• Ensure smooth running of the applications and resolve issues raised on a timely manner.

• Manage the change control process for the IT systems and ensure smooth implementation of system changes.

• Gather and analyze user requirements and propose the relevant solutions.

• Maintain and update the various documentation (e.g. requirements specifications, user guides) for the IT systems.

• Participate in all aspects of project implementation from initiation to roll out of the new system (design, build, testing, end user training, go live support, documentation)

• Resolve project issues with vendors and key stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of the projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.

• At least 2 years experience in SAP FI/CO modules with good functional knowledge in AR, AP, GL, Bank Accounting, FA and Project Accounting.

• Technical knowledge required on SAP-ABAP programming, smart forms, BAPI, BDC and user exits.

• Able to independently handle requirement gathering sessions, prepare functional specifications and support testing activities for user sign-offs.

• Preferably with minimum of 1 full lifecycle implementation experience of SAP as Analyst/ Consultant

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the team in communicating with the Ops Policy and Policy Divisions
• Provide support to the team in business process reviews on processes both from the client point of view (i.e. to make help more accessible) as well as from the point of view of officers (to make their work more efficient)
• Data analysis, familiarity with data visualization software to interpret data and spot areas of concern
• Secretariat support for monthly meetings
• Provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Provide support to the team in communicating and liaising with internal and external agencies/stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in any field

• Provide daily support to manage the “real time challenge” of transport, to ensure balance with business needs and freight cost
• Supports the resolution of master data errors found in SAP or TMS, with support from the internal and external stakeholders
• Monitors the carrier performance with agreed KPIs and manages the carrier business review
• Support implementation of any new forwarder/carrier in accordance with QA standards, Service Level Agreements, SOP’s and Terms and Conditions
• Works with appropriate internal groups to update new lanes, rates etc. and manages spot bids and new lane carrier assignments

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor degree required
• 2-5 years of experience within supply chain; transportation planning and logistics within region preferred
• Experience working with a transportation management system preferred
• Strong communications skills and ability to work in a fast paced, global consumer goods organization
• Experience working in SAP preferred, or other ERP system
