Tech Observer Asia Pacific is an end-to-end contract research organisation with offices in India, Europe and the USA. Our medical communications team is looking for an business development associate/analyst to join them.
Tech Observer’s medical communications team in Singapore is made up of like-minded individuals who enjoy telling stories of science and medicine. The team works with clients in Singapore, Asia Pacific, Europe and North America from pharmaceutical, medical devices and biotechnology settings to produce high quality scientific materials. This productive and successful team works on projects from a wide range of therapeutic area including oncology, cardiovascular, endocrinology, aesthetics, consumer health, and digital health.
The position
The business development associate/analyst will support our medical communications department in Singapore. This role is crucial in facilitating the growth and success of the business development pipeline.
Roles and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Business development :
- Engaging potential clients through presentations and materials, responding to requests, and managing the contracting process. It involves conducting scoping calls, researching feasibility, and developing proposals.
- Assists with project setup, including timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder liaison.
- Account and project management, maintaining client relationships, managing scope changes, and gathering feedback.
- Improves the business pipeline by monitoring and coordinating activities, using appropriate tools and metrics.
Account expansion and strategic business development
- staying informed about client needs and industry trends, deepening relationships with existing clients, and developing new client relationships.
- supports the development of marketing materials and activities.
Research and analysis
- conducts desk research and analysis to support business development and project delivery, including scoping, feasibility, and literature searches.
- develops and executes search strategies, employs various research tools and sources, and presents information effectively.
Required skills, experience and qualifications:
· Bsc level or above in a scientific or Business discipline
