The Regional Procurement Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with our growth objectives. This role will involve supplier onboarding, leading mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and strengthening our procurement operations at the facilities in Singapore and Shanghai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the semiconductor environment, high-precision manufacturing, and a proven track record in procurement leadership across the Southeast Asia region.
The key responsibilities include:
· Strategic Development - Develop and implement a regional procurement strategy that supports the company's growth objectives and enhances supply chain efficiency.
· Supplier Onboarding - Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to ensure a robust and reliable supply chain that meets quality, logistic, technology and cost requirements (QLTC) and drive supplier performance to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness in these key areas.
· M&A Leadership - Lead procurement integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and operational efficiencies.
· Cost Management - Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and process improvements, while maintaining quality and service levels.
· Decision Making - Analyse and make informed buy-or-make decisions to optimize procurement processes and resource allocation.
· Team Development - Build and develop the procurement team, provide hands-on leadership and support to the team, ensuring effective execution of procurement strategies and initiatives.
· Collaboration - Work closely with headquarter to leverage global resources, share best practices, and align regional strategies with corporate goals.
Job Requirements
· Work Location: Singapore.
· Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in procurement, with a strong focus on the semiconductor and high-precision manufacturing sectors.
· Proven experience in leading M&A activities and integrating procurement functions.
· Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices particularly within the Southeast Asia market.
· Demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
· Experience in developing and managing high-performing teams.
· Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across different countries in Southeast Asia.
· Proficiency in Mandarin is required to facilitate communication with suppliers and stakeholders.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to leadership.
