Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The FLEX Assistant Stylist, Salesperson Video Program, will partner with on-set crews and Project Coordinators to prep samples for video shoots. Samples will be received from our photo studios, fulfillment centers, and from the salesfloor as Store Inventory Pulls. The Flex Assistant Stylist will own the receiving and preparation of all product in coordination with weekly shoot schedules and product volume. Flexibility in hours during peak periods may be required. Travel between store locations may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Detailed preparation of samples for video shoots, including hanging, steaming, removing tags & censors. Ensure all product is prepped in time for the assigned filming shift. Steaming skills required
• Maintain accurate labeling of product at receipt, during shoot, and upon return of product
• Maintain a clean and organized prep area in accordance with program and store guidelines
• Communicate product discrepancies and damage immediately to Project Coordinators and regional Producer
• Procure items from the salesfloor as necessary, adhering to store guidelines for dress and customer interaction
• Partner with store logistics teams as needed to ensure inventory is checked out while filming
• Maintain understanding of video sample process and corresponding tools
• Communicate with program teams via Slack

About the Role

As a CSIRT Senior Engineer, you will apply your security knowledge, technical expertise and communication skills to provide expert analysis, leadership, and guidance during incident response investigations. You will embrace new challenges with a positive attitude, identify and proactively resolve security issues with confidence, and display a curious mindset while learning new technologies or techniques.  In addition to performing incident response, you will help to grow and improve Nordstrom’s security posture via cross-team collaboration.

A day in the life… 

• Designs and develops analytical solutions using in-house and modern technologies for business.

• 4+ years of professional experience in the merchandise planning area 

• 4+ years of experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Scala) 

• 3+ years of experience with Databases, SQL, data modeling, data mining, and automated engineering solutions. 

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS or other equivalent cloud providers) 

• Experience with distributed systems (Kubernetes, AWS EMR, etc.) 

• Experience in developing near real-time data processing solutions using Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming 

• Experience with the Spring boot framework

We are Nordstrom Custom Special Order Team. We develop web based applications which are used by Salespeople in the stores to serve customers who need to order custom merchandise which are not available in the store. The salespeople record that requirement in the tool and use it to communicate information to Merchandising department, who then works with Vendors to procure that item for our customers.

Another application which we developed is a web based tool used to keep a record of inventory movement into and outside the full line stores, for inventory that is sold through a consignment business model. The application helps record the transactions that happen in stores and unsold items that are returned to the vendor.

We build out new features and experiences on the Java, AWS technology stack in an agile, team-oriented, and collaborative environment. We encourage innovation and expect developers to take a high level of ownership throughout the software life cycle.

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design skills & knowledge of application design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Java Springboot framework. Knowledge of other programming languages (like Python, and JavaScript) is a plus.
• Experience with Backend Database RDBMS or NoSQL databases is required.
• Experience with RESTful architecture and microservices. JSON is required.
• Experience with Amazon AWS services or GCP is required.
