NEU Battery Materials is a lithium-ion battery recycling startup. We are building the world's first electrochemical process for battery recycling and we target batteries such as those in our electric cars. We are looking for electrochemical researchers who have experience in any of these areas; redox flow process, fuel cell, vanadium flow batteries, electrolyzers.

Job scope:

1. Further research and development of NEU's lithium recycling system
2. Preparation for and operation of recycling system
3. Responsible for recycling process optimization
4. Work on material testing and chemical analysis using various lab testing equipment
5. Manage a series of prototypes for various experiments

Requirements:

1. PhD or MS/BS with direct experience in chemical engineering, chemistry, electrochemistry, materials science, or related field
2. 3+ years of experience in electrochemical systems, electrocatalysis, device design and component analysis (including graduate research)
3. A strong experimental background in fundamental and applied electrochemistry with demonstrated knowledge or expertise in electroanalytical and electrochemical cell characterization
4. Knowledge of electrode fabrication and material synthesis for electrocatalytic applications like hydrogen evolution/oxygen evolution/oxygen reduction/CO2RR reaction in alkaline media and process engineering, with understanding of physico-chemical properties of materials and/or knowledge of processes used in material synthesis and corresponding characterisation techniques

1. Design, plan, and implement our layout for our recycling equipment to optimize production and decrease costs
2. Assemble, operate, and maintain pilot scale recycling system
3. Develop and implement safety procedures for our team
4. Facilitate trial production to support product improvement and development
5. Identify areas of opportunities for process improvement, modification, and optimization ideas

Requirements:

1. Qualifications: Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience
2. Self-driven, independent and resourceful
3. Effective team player with good communication and presentation skills
4. Possess good analytical thinking and problem solving skills
5. Excellent communication in English
6. Good to have knowledge in any of these areas; flow battery, redox flow processes, electrochemical processes, fuel cell

NEU Battery Materials is a Singapore-based company that has developed the world's first electrochemical lithium-ion battery recycling technology. This is a full-time on-site role in Singapore for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to build partnerships and increase revenue. This includes identifying new business opportunities, establishing relationships with prospective customers, managing sales pipelines, and negotiating contracts. The Business Development Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and overall business growth.

As a Research Lab Assistant in the Electrochemistry Lab, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team engaged in cutting-edge research and experimentation. Your role involves providing support to senior chemists and researchers in the planning, execution, and analysis of electrochemical experiments. A solid foundation in chemistry, hands-on laboratory skills, and a keen interest in electrochemistry are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Experiment Preparation:

• Assist in the preparation of electrochemical cells, including assembling electrodes and configuring experimental setups.
• Prepare and analyze electrolytes and other chemical solutions.
• Electrochemical Testing:
  Conduct electrochemical experiments under the guidance of senior researchers.
  Monitor and record data during experiments, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Instrument Operation and Maintenance:
  Operate and maintain electrochemical instrumentation, such as potentiostats, galvanostats, and impedance analyzers.
  Troubleshoot and address minor technical issues with equipment.
