This is an exciting opportunity for a someone looking for a career in finance to join our dynamic finance team. Alongside your studies you will play an important part in supporting the NYMR’s diverse and challenging business environment, which includes multiple business activities and a substantial charity. The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to develop their skills in contributing to the development of the finance function and the whole organisation.
Working as part of a small, friendly team you will take ultimately take primary responsibility for the timely posting of the charity’s income from a range of business activities across multiple departments and locations. You will accurately extract and import sales data across different systems, carry out all cash and bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies, liaising with other departments when needed.
The successful candidate will need to be working towards an AAT qualification with strong IT skills, particularly with Excel including a good understanding of excel formulas. They will be organised, methodical in their approach and a problem solver.
Alongside this you will carry out other financial tasks such as posting monthly credit card expenditure and regular bank reconciliations to assist the financial controller with the production of the monthly management accounts and management reporting.

Personal Specification:
Essential
• GCSE’s in Maths, English
• Computer literacy
• Currently studying or about to start a course leading to the AAT Qualification
• Strong IT skills, proficient with excel with a good understanding of excel formulas
• The ability to maintain confidentiality
• Good communication skills
Desirable
• Further Qualifications in Maths and/or IT
• Relevant work experience
