Millfield School is seeking a Travel and Transport office administrator with great organisational skills and an eye for detail to work within a small friendly team. In this role, you will support our Travel and Transport Manager in the smooth and efficient running of the Travel and Transport department.


A background in transport is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administrative and logistical duties related to our school's travel and transport operations. Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Managing the minibus/coach diaries and issuing of vehicle keys.
Liaising regularly with other departments, drivers and external transport providers.
Assisting the finance team to ensure student accounts are accurately reconciled.
Obtaining quotes for excursions and sporting events.
Booking of external transport.
Assisting with the organisation of Student end of term travel arrangements.
Ensuring that all school vehicle and transport records are accurately maintained.
Assisting in the organisation of daily minibus services
Covering the Travel Office in the absence of the Travel and Transport Manager.

Millfield School is seeking a Boarding House Manager to work 11.30am until 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, during term time in a boys only boarding house.

There is an intimate family atmosphere at The Grange, where the students get to know each other and the staff very well. As a Boarding House Manager, you will be joining a small team of staff who work together to ensure that the pupils feel safe, secure and at home, whilst also playing a pivotal part in making sure the house runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key duties will include supervising pupils in the house, general tidying and managing the upkeep of the house, ordering food and distributing snacks, and assisting pupils with day-to-day tasks such as mending uniforms, basic first aid and sorting lost property.

We are seeking to employ five Sports Intern for the 2024-2025 Academic Year to contribute to our sports, physical education, and boarding programs. An Intern placement year in the sports department of Millfield Prep School will provide an unrivalled opportunity to work at one of the UK’s leading Prep Schools.

Millfield Prep School (MPS) is an independent co-educational school with outstanding sports facilities and situated by the famous Glastonbury Tor. Sports Interns will have the opportunity to develop some of the knowledge and skills gained previously either from schooling or from an Undergraduate degree. We are seeking interns to be involved in coaching sports teams, assisting during Physical Education lessons, and contributing to the athletic development of our talented sports players. The posts run for a full academic year from September through June, with breaks for School holidays. You will receive £14,220.16 salary per annum (inclusive of statutory holiday pay) plus full board and lodgings (non-monetary, to the value of £2,739.10 per annum).

Graduates not living onsite will not be expected to contribute towards the boarding programme and will work the full 39 hours per week in the athletic development department, receiving £16,959.26 per annum (inclusive of statutory holiday pay). There is a formal personal development programme provided as part of the placement opportunity which is overseen by the Head of Student Athlete Support and many expert staff within the department. This has a value more than £2500.
