About the role

The aim is to promote wellbeing through developing personalised life stories and participate in the implementation of this in the lifestyle section of personal care plans for each resident. You will plan and provide an ongoing and rewarding calendar incorporating regular group and 1-1 activities, as well as events which recognise significant dates such as Easter, Burns Night, Diwali, Pride, Halloween etc.

You will also ensure the tools needed for delivery will be made available so you can work with colleagues to motivate and encourage service users to participate in activities that will enhance their social, emotional, and physical wellbeing. You will do this while ensuring our residents maintain dignity and quality of life, supporting them to stay connected with family, friends, and the local community.

Fundraising is also an important part of the role as is arranging photographs of events that take place to create articles for our newsletter and social media.

Ensure full CQC compliance and uphold the highest standards of care in line with regulatory requirements.
Work closely with the Directors and Chief Operating Officer, leading a programme of continuous improvement.
Manage performance in line with agreed financial and operational targets, including HR and Marketing objectives.
Ensure that each home operates efficiently while maintaining the highest levels of care and support for residents.


Essential Skills and Experience


Extensive operational management experience in the care home sector.
Proven track record of working in a care setting, with a strong understanding of both care and nursing services.
Expert knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance.
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Strong financial acumen with experience in managing performance targets.

About the role

Duties of an Asssitant Chef are varied, and no two days will be the same in the home’s busy kitchen. As a general guide you will prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, providing special dietary requirements where necessary for residents.
