Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Department and make sure everything runs smoothly and on time.
• Handle mechanical repairs and updates for commercial ships.
• Ensure production meets customer standards and expectations.
• Assign projects to supervisors.
• Make sure mechanical jobs are finished on schedule.
• Review and evaluate staff performance.
• Check progress of work on board or in the workshop.
• Plan department staffing needs.
• Identify and arrange training for staff.
• Oversee staff training and skill improvement in ship repair.
• Improve work quality in the department.
• Monitor and review safety and hazard reports.
• Implement safety plans for the department.
• Conduct safety audits for departmental practices and staff.
• Keep track of subcontractor working hours.

Requirements

• The ideal candidates should possess strong knowledge and experience in areas such as propulsion, shaft alignment, thrusters, and CPP. A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required, along with 4 to 8 years of experience in the shipyard or marine industry.

• 0800 to 1700hr (Mon – Fri)
• 0800 to 1200hr (Sat)

• Delivers required security service based on Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Conduct indoor and outdoor security patrols.
• Prevent unauthorized entry, trespass, intrusion and acts of vandalism.
• Prevent abuse of facilities provided in the site by occupiers (including visitors).
• Conduct crowd and vehicle traffic control.
• Ensure barriers are always down when no vehicle is entering.
• Ensure security office doors are secured and always locked after office hours.
• Control and direct traffic movements during morning and evening peak hours.
• Ensure that all personnel register at the designated security counters and issue visitor pass in exchange for valid photo identification documents.
• Conduct audit check on security passes to ensure only authorized vehicle and personnel can access.

Qualification:

• Possess a valid Security Licence (by PLRD)
• Possess valid relevant certification including:Guard and Patrol, Access Control Management: Provide Guard and Patrol Services and Operate Basic Security Equipment
  Incident Response: Handle Security Incidents and Services
  Threat Observation: Recognise Terrorist Threats
  
• Working hours (day shift): 0700 to 1900hr
• Working hours (night shift): 1900 to 0700hr

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing support for daily office operations and performing clerical tasks such as data entry, managing schedules, making travel arrangements, and answering phone calls using professional phone etiquette. The Administrative Assistant will also provide executive administrative assistance to senior management.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Dip. in Business Administration, or related field
• Experience working in a similar industry (shipbuilding) is a plus but not necessary

• Effective delegation and control of resources for optimum productivity.
• Ensuring compliance with contracts, specifications, regulatory, company, quality, environment, occupational health and safety standards and procedures.
• Plan, implement, and demonstrate continual improvement in occupational health and safety, quality, environment and productivity.
• Liaison and coordination with regulatory bodies, clients, consultants, contractors, and internally within the company to satisfy their needs within commercial controls.
• Ensure company and project milestones, and commercial controls are achieved by effective planning, logistics, and execution.
• Comprehensive inputs to Planning department, not limited to equipment, materials, processes, activities, manpower, and ownership of project plan.
• Identify bottlenecks, highlight possible delays in advance, propose and execute corrective and preventive actions.
• Control and monitoring of variation orders, and coordination with Corporate Department (Office).
