Managing the delivery of tax advisory and compliance services to the business units and the CFO on tax matters, including direct and indirect taxes, transactional taxes, international taxes, and transfer pricing. Your duties will also include:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality tax advice and solutions that are aligned with the business objectives and risk appetite.
Work within and contribute to the tax risk and compliance framework for the business, including the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of tax risks and compliance obligations.
Liaise and negotiate with the relevant tax authorities on tax audits and disputes and ensure the timely and accurate resolution of tax issues.
Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of tax policies and procedures that reflect best practice and comply with tax laws and regulations.
Drive the continuous improvement and automation of tax processes and systems, leveraging data analytics and technology.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the business units, the CFO, the Lead of Taxation, the wider business and the tax authorities.
Develop and mentor the tax chapter members, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence.
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualifications- Chartered Accountant/CPA/Legal qualifications, Chartered Tax Advisor desirable
Extensive experience in tax advisory and compliance
Insurance, banking and financial services industry experience preferred
Experience in leading and managing tax audits and disputes.
Experience in establishing and maintaining tax policies and procedures.
Experience in process improvement and automation
Data analytics and reporting skills
Expert knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including direct and indirect taxes, transactional taxes, international taxes, and transfer pricing.
The ability to interpret and apply tax laws to complex and diverse scenarios and products.
The ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
