Job Requirements

Job Description

• Supporting the Power Plant to meet the contractual, technical and commercial set-up and operation.

Job Description

• Operate the power plant according to procedures and requirements including but not limited to starting, loading, unloading and shutting down the complete plant and systems
• Support the ASCE/SCE/PSCE to meet the contractual, technical and commercial set-up and operation of the Power Station
• Have sound knowledge of the safe operating parameters, controls, precaution and safety interlocks when starting and loading plant equipment so as to avoid damage and to be able to run the plant in the most efficient manner
• Plant process conditions troubleshooting, analyzing and testing when necessary
• Able to manage, monitoring and control the plant process operation from control room DCS
• Record plant operating data and report defects and abnormalities
• Carry out isolation/normalization of equipment as require by the Permit To Work System
• Understand and familiar with Plant Chemistry including handling of plant waste discharge
• Carry out plant change-over and conduct testing of equipment to meet statutory compliance and best industry practices
• Input to and liaison where necessary for long term Station planning
• Assist to implement modern O&M practices, tools and techniques for safe, reliable and efficient Power Station operation and to fully utilise all Power Plant’s contractual energy, fuel and utility supply agreements
• Assist to establish and implement mandatory O&M policies and procedures to meet all Station, company and legislative requirements
• Assist to fully develop and utilize the CMMS for efficient and effective Power Station operation practices
• Fully utilizing the CMMS to ensure all operation activities and experiences are recorded to comply with station, legislative and company policy requirements
• Assist to implement a Quality Management System as applied to the Power Station
• To assist fully with and help implement and manage all Health, Safety and Environmental practices
• Communicate with Regulatory and Authority on all operation matters on a timely manner
• To take part in training both on and off site, to be trained and to train others as required
• The post holder will be expected to comply with all company and legislative health requirements relevant to their duties and responsibilities
• To undertake additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the ASCE/SCE/PSCE

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline
• Relevant competency certificate as issued by the Singapore regulatory authority, or education leading to this will be advantageous
• At least 6 years of working experience in Power Station Operations (ideally on a CCPP)
• Ideally involved in the technical and maintenance aspects of Gas Turbines, with some experience in the erection, commissioning and initial start-up phases of a modern Power Station
• Knowledgeable and experienced in Health, Safety and Environmental practices
• Willing to work in Jurong Island and on 12-hour rotating shifts

Job Description

• Plan and supervise the maintenance team in the execution of assigned plant maintenance activities within schedule and cost, in compliance with regulatory and company's standards and requirements, in particular company's safety standards, as well as to develop staff capabilities using appropriate capability interventions and on-the-job training
• Supporting the Power Plant to meet the contractual, technical and commercial set-up and operation
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance carried out for all plant equipment and plant utilities
• Perform frontline troubleshooting on plant equipment defects and failure to maintain high availability
• Provide necessary guidance and advice to maintenance staff or external contractor to execute the maintenance work in a good engineering manner
• Daily maintenance manpower planning and allocation
• Maintain and update maintenance data and maintenance record for all plant equipment and plant utilities
• Check that PPE are provided and subordinates are utilizing it by executing works with all safety precautions
• Additional tasks and responsibilities given by power plant management

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years work experience with equipment related to craft
• Knowledge in craft eg, Pumps, Compressors, HRSG , Valves , Fans and etc
• Experience involvement in technical aspects of Power Plant or Process Plant maintenance
• Good hands-on knowledge in performing Power Plant or Process Plant equipment maintenance
• Experience in the erection, commissioning and initial start-up phases of a modern Power Plant is an advantage
• Knowledge on system including installation, troubleshooting, routine inspection and maintenance
• Knowledge on vibration monitoring and alignment of rotating equipment
• Knowledge on lubrication
• Knowledge in maintaining maintenance record in CMMS

Job Responsibilities

• Assist Shift Manager to ensure safe shift operation of the assigned plant and manage non-operating activities and co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders on operating requirements to facilitate the smooth operation of the power plants and in compliance with regulatory and company standards and requirements
• Become a pro-active member of the Station Team
• Support the SCE; PSCE and Operations Manager to meet the contractual, technical and commercial set-up and operation of the Power Station
• Input to and liaison with the relevant Managers for long term Station planning
• Assist to implement modern O&M practices, tools and techniques for safe, reliable and efficient Power Station operation and to fully utilise all Power Plant’s contractual energy, fuel and utility supply agreements
• Act as Senior Authorized Person (SAP) in preparing, reviewing and issuing PTW (Permit To Work)
• Able to support the team during plant emergency situations and abnormal conditions
• To assist operation team to comply with PSO/SPPG/NGCC requirements and procedures
• To support SCE/PSCE to ensure plant load output according to Trader dispatch schedule

Job Requirements

• A Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Control & Instrumentation Engineering preferred. Candidates with Diploma or NITEC qualifications with substantial experience in a similar role will be considered
• Minimum 6 years of Lead Technical Officer/ Operations Engineer ground experience in Power Station Operations on a CCPP
• Solid understanding, knowledge and experience of Combined Cycle Power Station operations
• Good understanding of Power Station commercial operation strategies in a deregulated electricity market and familiar with CCPP and Cogen performance analysis and optimisation
• General understanding of Power Station engineering design and construction is essential. Prior involvement in the technical and maintenance aspects of Gas Turbines and in the erection, commissioning and initial start-up phases of a modern Power Station will be valuable
• Strong safety mindset with detailed knowledge and experience in modern Health, Safety and Environmental practices
• Strong team-player with the ability to lead a specialist shift team and manage numerous personnel during critical plant outage periods

• Responsible for daily plant operations activities, operating data recording; report defects and abnormalities according to approved work instructions.
• Responsible for safe execution of mechanical and electrical. Isolation/Normalization of equipment as required by the Permit To Work.
• Understand and familiar with plant chemistry including handling water treatment plant and electro-chlorination plant operations.
• Carry out plant change-over and conduct testing of equipment to meet statutory compliance and best industry practices.
• Support the shift team in monitoring the running unit performance and maintaining optimum operations efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Higher National Diploma or Certificate is preferred in a relevant engineering discipline. Relevant Competency certificate as issued by the Singapore regulatory authority, or education leading to this.
• Preferably Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications. Higher NITEC candidates may also be considered.
• Diploma holder with 2-3 years’ experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants or related industries.
• Higher NITEC with 3-5 years’ experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants or related industries.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Preferably understanding, knowledge and experience of Combined Cycle Power Station operations. Basic knowledge of Power Station commercial operation. Basic understanding of CCPP performance optimization.
• Candidates with steam boiler attendant or engineer certificate of competency will be an advantage.
• Self-motivated, independent, possess a good communication skill, and is a team player.
• Possess good knowledge & experience of plant processes and operations.
• Knowledge and experience in Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
