This role is one of very few positions that are primed to directly influence the guest experience. You will directly be able to ensure that our guests leave happy and satisfied with the service and experience at our restaurants—especially being able to identify unique opportunities to delight in the day-to-day service.
Sommelier duties
- Selection & Purchase of natural wines: You will be responsible for working with the beverage director for the selection and purchasing of wine inventory which match the venue’s menu, style, and budget. You will have a deep understanding of the different wine regions, grape varieties, and vintages to make informed choices.
- Storage and Inventory Management: You will ensure that all wines for Le Bon Funk is properly stored, aged, and maintained in the right environment. They should be managed in accordance with Le Bon Funk’s standard operating procedures and for tracking of wine sales and purchases
- Wine service: You are responsible for training the front of house team with proper wine service, including opening bottles, pouring, and decanting (if applicable). You must be able to be comfortable making wine recommendations to guests and assist in pairing wines with menu items accordingly
- Wine Education & Training: You will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of wines and be able to communicate this information to guests and staff accordingly. You will also assist with the training on wine selection, service and if applicable upselling techniques.
Assistant Manager duties
- Leading and executing operations to achieve daily targets
- Petty cash and banking transactions
- Facility management of the restaurant
- Guest Service & Experience: You will be able to build good relationships with all guests and provide Le Bon Funk’s guest experience. You will be comfortable managing and responding to all guest feedback and requests accordingly.
- Front of House responsibilities: You will be a team player and will help and assist with floor operations
- Attending to guest feedbacks or complaints
- Identifying training needs and training plans tighten the competency gap
