• Supports the Digital Transformation Program Manager in the overall strategy, assessment, roadmap, and execution of the Digital Engineering portfolio in alignment with the Center, Engineering, and Agency strategy.
• Establishes and executes a Digital Engineering (DE) implementation strategy with measurable milestones and metrics, with agreed to deliverables and schedules. Reviews and updates the MSFC DE Strategic Plan as required.
• Architects the MSFC Digital Engineering Environment and develop architecture requirements and facilitate implementation. Works with Engineering IT management to create transition strategies for existing and new capabilities to support DE.
• Serves as an advocate with the Digital Transformation (DT) leadership, the Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE), and the Engineering Directors at various Centers for Model Based Engineering (MBE)/DE needs and goals.

• Provide oversight, guidance, and direction of work on local and wide area network, network operations, remote access, classified and operational networks, cable plant, backup power systems, and security infrastructure.
• Grow the NASA Integrated Operations Center (NIOC) team through recognition, resolution of personnel matters, and training and development
• Edit, complete, and integrate the work generated by subject matter experts within NASA's NIOC, such as local and wide area network, network operations, remote access, classified/operational networks, power systems, or security infrastructure.
• Serve as coach and facilitator in coordinating team initiatives, policy implementation, and consensus building related to Integrated Operations systems.
• Oversee Integrated Operations performance management and policy/process compliance (management controls for Objectives and Key Results, Key Performance Indicators, Key Risk Indicators).
• Ensure the effectiveness, management, and execution of technical requirements for the enterprise architecture of the Integrated Operations Services.

The Chief Engineer Human Landing System Program Office:

• Executes Engineering Technical Authority, ensuring appropriate technical rigor. Establishes and assumes responsibility for the engineering design processes, specifications, rules, and best practices necessary to fulfill programmatic requirements.
• Interfaces with the Program Manager, other chief engineers, vehicle-level discipline lead engineers, partner managers, and the HLS Program Chief Safety Officer.
• Continually engages and provides leadership to the engineering workforce at all NASA Centers working on HLS matters of engineering and program success.
• Interfaces directly with program management to accomplish program objectives, support the design and development activity, and assure safety and operational objectives are achieved.
• Establishes requirements, evaluates maturity of design solutions, establishes certification of flight hardware, assesses systems for safety of flight, and certifies flight readiness.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates engineering and integration activities in support of the Engineering Directorate's technical activities and represents the Engineering Directorate at critical milestone reviews, boards, and panels.
• Represents the Center to the cognizant offices of NASA Headquarters and the scientific and industrial communities within the U.S., and participates in national and international symposia and seminars related to space system development and operations.

• Analyzes, and designs the operation of aerospace vehicles and structures operating within the earth's atmosphere through all phases from production, operation, certification, to maintenance of aerospace vehicles associated equipment.
