Parkside Academy is a single form Primary school with approximately 300 students, a Good Ofsted rating and excellent potential for the future. The school is part of the Furness Education Trust, a multi-academy trust based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria. Currently comprised of six academies, the Trust aims to develop best practice in each school across the whole Trust, by collaborating and working together to give the best of everything to every child. Being located near the centre of the historic shipbuilding town and close to the southern boundary of the Lake District National Park, Parkside Academy serves the Furness community.
Due to growth the Trust is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, inspirational, Assistant Headteacher to support the Headteacher in the leadership and management of the school.
The successful candidate will:
• Be expected to demonstrate consistently high standards of principled and professional conduct; upholding the ‘Seven Principles of Public Life’; and be fully compliant with the Teachers’ Standards.
• Be an experienced Primary School Teacher with some leadership experience. Key Stage 2 experience would be an advantage.
• Be a skilful communicator with a powerful and persistent focus on the development of excellence in teaching and learning.
• Have a clear vision and passion for influencing, challenging and motivating all members of the Parkside Academy community to share and achieve that vision.
• Be an inspiring, energetic professional looking for their next exciting and impactful role.
• Be an outstanding classroom practitioner and an excellent role model to others.
• Have the commitment and determination to make a significant impact on the lives of our children.
