FINANCE SPARK – ROLE AT AN INNOVATION CONSULTANCY
Flying Fish Lab Pte Ltd is an Innovation Consultancy. We’re a 8 year old startup, young at heart but very experienced as we average more than 20 years of work experience across the team. Our small team is spread out across Singapore, Australia and Europe. Our clients are large MNCs, like Unilever, Mondelez, Kraft-Heinz, Kellogg’s, Fonterra, Coca-Cola, Abbott, AXA, Sennheiser and many others.
From our humble start as “two men and a powerpoint”, we’re very proud of the business we’ve built so far. We’ve had our challenges along the way, like every other company, but we’ve survived Covid and expanded to Europe, something that we’re very proud of!
This role had been planned for a while and now that the business is growing at a pace, we’re keen to bring in a colleague that can help us with their Finance “Spark”… hence the name!
We believe that not all companies are the same and we think that Flying Fish Lab is quite different to the usual Singapore SME. In the same way, we think that Finance professionals can be quite different and we’re looking for someone who isn’t just looking to type numbers into Excel. Someone who can think and take action: think critically about how what they do can help the business and then take the necessary action to bring it to life.
The Finance Spark will report directly to the Head of Finance and work with the Partners as we are a small team and we work in a very open and collaborative way. This person will play a key support role in the development of the Finance Department, together with the Head of Finance. Having to work with Europe, to liaise with accountants for the company in Europe where necessary and in general liaising with clients from across the world, for all invoicing and payment matters, is another interesting aspect of this role.
