You will be part of the maintenance team, working on a daily basis with other engineers and be responsible for all the mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic work both internally and externally to the production area.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out both routine and reactive maintenance to all plant, equipment, services and building as required, to include fault finding ad repairs
Assist in maintaining current PPM schedule
Assist with developing and implementing line improvements
Assist in bespoke projects and installations
Become an active member of the Health & Safety team, with a view to constantly furthering site standards
Effectively communicate machinery issues & timescales with both Production and Management team
The ideal candidate will be a time-served engineer and have a mechanical background. You will be experienced in electrical fault finding, mechanical maintenance and repair and would ideally be qualified to HNC level in an engineering discipline.

The company is a food manufacturer who is based in Peterhead and is going through an exciting period of growth and continues to push on with their ambitious plans.

You will report to the Chief Engineer and will be responsible for all electrical works that are carried out internally and externally onsite.

Key Requirements

You will ideally have experience in the marine sector and experience in the following would be advantageous:

Power generation, both ac and dc systems
Hydraulic control systems
Fish handling or other automated handling systems
Reading and understanding wiring diagrams/schematics appropriate to the task
Capable of installing all types of cable, conduit and tray systems
The ideal candidate will have a recognised Apprenticeship/NVQ Qualification, ECS Health and Safety and Current Edition Electrical Installation Inspection and Testing to BS7671 or greater.

This role will require on-call work so flexibility is a must.

Engage Talent Partners are looking for a QC Inspector to join our growing client in Aberdeen. The company operates in a number of different industries, however, primarily supports the oil and gas sector.

Candidates will have a strong understanding of engineering drawings and using measuring equipment to carry out quality control inspection.

Key responsibilities:

Develop the company integrated management system
Inspection of manufactured and sourced products and provide feedback
Capturing information on non-conformances and quality issues
Implementing solutions to non-conformances and quality issues
Maintaining effective reporting systems
Calibrate and maintain inspection and measurement devices
Provide coaching, support and training on inspection activities
Candidates should have at least 3 years’ experience in a QC role within a manufacturing environment, with an ability to read manufacturing/geometrical drawings. In addition, you should have knowledge of relevant industry technical codes and standards, mechanical/metallurgical principles and national calibration requirements. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication, organisational and IT skills.

Working from their state-of-the-art facility, our client has over 40 years’ experience in the seafood industry and distribute their product globally.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting all activities in relation to factory production, processing, storage and logistics. The job will involve managing large groups of people, planning schedules as well as ensuring compliance to industry standards and health & safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan production schedule and activities in line with seasonal activity.
• Ensure staff are fully trained and compliant with business and industry standards.
• Manage the operational efficiency and make decisions to improve.
• Enforce quality control and hygiene standards.
• Ensure stock levels and supplies are meeting business needs.
• Manage the logistics and supply chain activities.
• Ensure detailed and up to date system reporting is carried out regularly.
• Lead by example in Health and Safety to improve operational standards.

The ideal candidate will have an operational background with strong people management skills and you must be comfortable managing large groups in a production or manufacturing environment. You will have knowledge around stock control, logistics and supply chain functions and exposure to reporting and analysis. You will naturally have a great attitude towards health and safety. Previous food manufacturing experience would be great but not essential. You must have a flexible approach to working hours and call outs when required.

The role will offer a competitive salary around £40k to £45k along with other benefits.

You will be mainly generating 2d AutoCAD drawings for fire panels and systems and it would be great if you had some experience around the following areas: P & IDs, fabrication drawings, piping isometrics, noding isometrics, electrical drawings, technical illustrations, cause & effect diagrams and loop diagrams. Other requirements for the role will include attending internal and external design reviews, offshore survey visits and technical and drafting support for tender activity.
