Responsibilities :
Support of Maintenance and Project works function
Creates bills of quantities for tenders, involving quantity take-off, sourcing, and measuring, prepare tender submission and reviewing of contract administration.
Tabulate quantities, estimate cost and request for supplier or subcon quotation.
Obtain and monitor Performance Bonds, Bankers Guarantees and insurances.
Submit VO quotation, discuss about the variation works with client and ensuring that VO has been supported and approved by client for future claims.
Review and prepare specifications, evaluate, and recommend tender submissions and contract documentation (incl. maintenance contract)
Prepare tender documents, tender evaluation report, variation agreements and render professional advice on any penalties, liquidated damages when deem necessary.
Manages the finalization of accounts, variation orders, prepare, submit monthly work done progress claim, take site photos and collate info to update as built drawing.
When necessary, participates in client site meetings.
Prepare subcon document, RFQ calling, RFQ evaluation, market survey report, contract documents, including bills of quantities with clients/ architects, and preparing and analysing costing in detailed reports.
Prepare and recommend monthly progress payment claims and final account submitted by subcons. Evaluate and carry out joint measurement with Contractors (e-PO, Final BQ, etc.) Check, certify and confirm subcon Invoices.
Check & verify quotations / "star rate" items / market sensing.
Procurement of materials for trade work. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers on subcontracts and deliveries to site.
Liaise with project team for those material purchased directly to maintain, track, and update the balance to be purchased.
Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
Carry out random audits of not less than two (2) projects on maintenance replacement per month.
Ensure timely completion of an assign project within the allocated budgets.
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of QS experience, in a landscape company will be added relevance
Knowledge of landscape and construction products and costings
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Quantity Survey, Building, Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant qualifications from a recognised tertiary establishment.
Process relevant skills in MS Office, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, etc. Good knowledge of construction drawings, sequences, and materials.
Possess excellent negotiation and coordination skills and able to work in fast paced environment.
Independent with excellent problem-solving skills, detailed and a good team player.
Good communication skills in both oral and written English and could liaise effectively with other professionals, e.g. clients / developers, main contractors, construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, other engineers, consultants, suppliers, etc.
Able to commence work at a short notice or immediate.
