As an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) at the GS-2210-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Incumbent formulates DTRA policy and assists with the formulating DoD policy, through policy working groups. This collaborative approach extends to engagements with higher-level policymakers, where the Manager provides insights and recommendations to shape DoD and DTRA cybersecurity policy and directives.
- Derives actionable insights to inform Agency decision-making processes and drive risk prioritization at all levels of the organization.
- Plays a crucial role in cultivating a culture of cybersecurity awareness and accountability, delivering training programs and awareness campaigns tailored to DoD / DTRA personnel.
- Ensures networks and systems achieve and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Coordinates with Agency leadership and others to support all aspects of enhancing the Audit Support process, including but not limited to the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of internal and external audits, the development of audit dashboards as well as tracking and reporting of audit issues, to appropriate levels of management.
- Develops and provides Information Assurance and Cybersecurity training, guides and instructions based on DoD standards and applicable best practices.
- Assists in the identification of audit issues, threats, and opportunities for the achievement of mission objectives.
- Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and develops schedules to deliver program objectives on schedule and within budget while adhering to DoD regulations and changing situations.
