Job Description:

Summary of Position

The Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) assists clients with articulating personal goals for recovery; assisting participants in determining reasonable and holistic steps in recovery; and identifying barriers to recovery goals. A PRS will assist individuals in identifying personal strengths in daily living and recovery skills. In addition, a PRS will teach participants problem solving skills, how to identify and combat negative self-talk, how to build social supports, and how to self-advocate. PRS will intervene, coordinate and provide connection to care as directed by the clinical team. PRS will complete screens/assessments and evidence protocols as trained and supported through Centerstone.

Shift

This position will be a mobile role in the community as well as office based. Hours will be 4pm-12am Wed- Sun.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Verbalize understanding of what recovery means and articulate it to others.
• Assist clients with identifying personal strengths in daily living and recovery skills.
• Assist staff in identifying program elements that are supportive or barriers to recovery.
• Facilitate evidence based protocols, safety plans, complete screens and risk assessments as trained.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to partner with Centerstone programs and community partners.
• Coordinate and assist with crisis intervention/ connection to care.
• Coordinate referrals to inpatient, residential behavioral health/mental health/substance treatment.
• Transport clients to appointments and to access resources.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to meet communication requirements of certification. 
• Basic computer literacy is required.

Qualifications

Education Level

Must be 18 years of age or older, have lived experience receiving mental health, substance use or gambling treatment. High school diploma or equivalent.

Years of Experience

Minimum of one year of recovery.

Experience within the criminal justice system preferred.

Required Certification/Licensure

Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

PRS Certification is required. Must be able to verify completion of state-approved training program and passing score on certification exam, if not currently certified, must become certified within 90 days unless otherwise approved by the hiring manager.

Requirements of the certification which include:

• Lived Experience with Mental Illness/ Substance Use or Gambling Disorder
• Willing to share personal recovery story to assist others

Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Stays overnight at recovery house to provide general oversight, manage curfews, maintain house rules, and complete required reporting. Has daily contact with clients and staff, intervene in problem situations, provide daily support and guidance for residents adjusting to community living, and help overcome obstacles in daily living. Be an appropriate role model for clients, adaptable in style, and must exercise good judgment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working in a Co-Ed Facility
• Provide daily guidance and support to residents who are transitioning back to the community.
• Assists with intervening in problem situations.
• Models appropriate daily living skills including healthy communication skills. Models and teaches conflict management.
• Responds to emergency or urgent situations by providing direct client assistance.
• Supports implementation of clients individualized recovery plans.
• Assists with monitoring and reporting facility maintenance issues.
• Follows agency safety protocols including emergency drills.
• Completes reporting and documentation. Responds to emergency or urgent situations, providing direct client assistance and accessing appropriate resources to ensure client and staff safety.
• Prepares for each shift by receiving information from the outgoing staff members, reading the communication log and any posted messages, and checking/reading mail in assigned mailbox.
• Follows agency protocols in emergencies, assisting in monthly fire and tornado drills.

Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Manages the inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and repair of office supplies and equipment including escorting vendors. Assists with development of processes and procedures that ensure the efficient and cost-effective running of the office. Makes recommendations to management regarding staffing issues and procedural changes. Ensures that day-to-day operations align with organizational objectives. Collects, fills, and organizes office documents, records and forms. Completes daily deposits, balancing, office collection & petty cash funds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with overseeing clerical tasks such as work processing, scheduling, report preparation, and other services.
• Ensures clients are greeted promptly and appropriately, scheduling and statuses of clinical staff appointments are complete
• Obtains and updates client data, and collects co-pays in accordance with processes and procedures as needed.
• Utilizes telehealth to extend care when the clinical staff and or client aren’t in the same place at the same time.
• Manages the inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and repair of office supplies and equipment including escorting vendors. Ensures that office supplies are available and requisition forms are completed.
• Completes daily deposits, balancing, office collection & petty cash funds.
• Develops processes and procedures in collaboration with management that ensure the efficient and cost-effective running of the office.
• Makes recommendations to management regarding staffing issues and procedural changes.
• Ensures that Office Professionals have completed annual training. Provides proper feedback and coaching.

Job Description:

Prescribes and follows routine maintenance plans for facilities, amenities, and greenspace of the parks.  Performs basic custodial functions for the facilities, amenities, and greenspace of the park including set up and cleaning for daily activities and events. Is responsible for street cleaning, parks cleaning, painting, debris removal, landscaping, grooming greenspace areas. Operates various equipment, including blowers, Weed Eaters, shovels, and related attachments used at work sites. Regularly checks equipment to ensure proper use. Performs related duties as assigned. Maintains inventory of equipment/tools, and institutional supplies. Engages in snow removal for facility entrances and parking lots during the winter. Assists City personnel, as necessary, for the operation of the street department and Parks and Recreation Department.

Make appropriate referrals for least restrictive treatment possible to ensure psychiatric needs are being met as evidenced by documentation.

Clinician makes every effort to respond to calls promptly.

Creates an atmosphere of cooperation with Centerstone departments, community agencies, mental health consumers, and the public at large.

Attend all team meetings, clinical supervision and completes online trainings as required.

Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Assists clients with daily living activities and tracks, monitors and documents client behaviors and interactions. Assists in planning therapeutic recreation for groups, and may lead individual and group activities with clients. Completes day-to-day program tasks, monitors clients and the program facility to ensure safety and compliance with program guidelines. Serves as the point of contact by providing coverage of the front desk, reception area, and phone systems. Provides administrative and program support for the staff and residents.

• Assists clinical staff in meeting and monitoring the client’s medical and health care needs by observing and documenting client compliance with medication regimes as dictated in the treatment plan.
• Assists in the implementation of agency programs as specified by supervisor.  Facilitates group activities according to program schedule and implements individualized care plans as developed by the treatment team.
• Assists clients in learning how to meet basic needs, including activities such as: medication management, developing life skills (i.e. cooking, money management, cleaning, and parenting), pursuing recreational and leisure activities, housing, transportation, legal, medical and financial assistance, and securing appropriate entitlements.
• Assists in census management, admissions, and discharges.

Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provides evidence-based individual and group clinical interventions both in the office and community settings to develop trusting relationships with clients. Engage with clients so that they may more freely discuss substance use and its effects on mental and physical health and daily functioning.  Aid clients in setting their own goals for treatment, as well as plans to reduce or abstain from substance use and to learn healthy coping skills. Build rapport and a therapeutic relationship with clients to introduce them to all the elements of a healthy recovery.

• Facilitates client’s use of family, social and community resources;  acting as an advocate with external resources and agencies and self-help programs.
• Provide individual, group and family counseling covering psycho-educational, addictions, daily living skills and activity therapy.
• Develop, implement and monitor clinically and fiscally responsible individualized treatment/discharge plans.
• Participate in treatment team meetings for the purpose of summarizing, reviewing and developing client’s treatment goals, progress and use of services.
• Maintain necessary communications and reporting with referral sources and other involved parties as approved by the client; provides testimony in court in regards to client’s behavior and condition when requested.
• Meet billable hour productivity standards.
• Complete ANSA/CANS assessments and reassessments on time.
• Complete clinical documentation within two business days of the service provided.
• Complete treatment plans and other clinical service authorizations in a timely manner.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred; preferably in psychology, social work, or a related field.

Years of Experience       

Experience working and/or volunteering within the behavioral health, criminal justice, or social services field can be considered in place of degree. Personal experience with recovery from substances is helpful, but not required.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provides person-centered assistance to clients in the development of life skills and personal goals. Coordinates client care with multidisciplinary team. Assists clients in connecting to community resources. Provides crisis intervention/prevention to clients and their familes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates client care by working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and maintain essential elements of the client’s clinical record, including but not limited to treatment plan, progress notes, reporting and correspondence with external agents, ensuring compliance standards.
• Teaches and trains clients in activities of daily living, in group and individual settings, complying with clinical documentation requirements, and provides services according to organizational guidelines and/or protocols.
• Connects client with community support systems as determined to be appropriate, and maintains regular communications with schools, OFC’s and other family service providers that the client and their family participates with or is receiving services from.
• Provides telephone and on-site crisis intervention/prevention and follow-up to clients and their families.
