Calderdale College is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Purchasing Assistant to join our welcoming Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a customer focused attitude.
The Purchasing assistant will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operational running of the purchasing function for the College. The post will deliver high quality reporting and compliance which would assist in the delivery of value for money and efficiency savings.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner that has the ability to deliver inspirational teaching and learning in English. Candidates will have experience in teaching English at GCSE Level. They will also have a strong desire to share a love of English and motivate and encourage students to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will have experience of consistently good teaching and learning delivery methods including the use of innovative Information Learning Technologies and individualized learning plans. The successful candidate will be required to manage and support diverse groups of learners through English programmes and some possibility of teaching Functional Skills; delivering to learners from across a range of courses including vocational re-sit learners. Calderdale College is seeking to recruit a Pastoral and Behaviour Coach on a short term temporary basis to cover a staff sabbatical. The role will be responsible for supporting the growing, successful 14-16 provision at Calderdale College.

The successful applicant will join a small and hardworking team who manage the Early College Transfer programme for younger learners in an FE setting. You will work pro-actively with students and college tutors to support learners to achieve academic and personal success. This may include implementing interventions to address social, emotional and behavioural needs of students and building relationships to positively influence students to help them reach their full potential.

Many ECT learners have not attended educational setting previously therefore a compassionate approach is essential to be able to support those students experiencing emotional issues effecting their learning and well -being. You will also be working with parents to promote a whole wrap around approach to every child’s education.

Calderdale College is seeking to appoint a Security Officer to join our successful Estates & Facilities team, providing customer focused services and excellent facilities to students, staff and commercial customers. Due to the role commitments, this position is full time during the College’s Term Time period and weekends only outside of Term Time, with the primary working days being Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Experience of working within a fast-paced environment and knowledge of security procedures, reporting and IT systems is essential. It is desirable for the successful candidate to have experience of working with young adults and learners. Candidates should have a good standard of education including Literacy and Numeracy to Level 2, be SIA Licenced and willing to undertake First Aid training whilst at the College.
