I am partnering with a dynamic and innovative organisation committed to providing exceptional housing and care services for older adults and adults with disabilities to recruit for an exceptional Housing and Care manager. They are in the process of opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art Extra Care Scheme and are looking for the perfect manager to complement the day to day running of this setting, as well grow with them during an exciting time of investment and development.
Salary and Benefits

Overview of the Role
As a Housing and Care Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of high-quality care and housing services within their Extra Care Scheme. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated care professionals and contribute to the well-being of your residents, creating a warm and supportive environment where they can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Care Management: Oversee and manage the care services provided to residents, ensuring they receive personalised, person-centred care that promotes independence and dignity.
- Staff Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of care staff, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and equipped to provide the best possible care.
- Resident Services: Work closely with residents and their families to understand their needs and preferences, and develop care plans that align with their goals.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that the Extra Care Scheme complies with all health and safety regulations and maintains a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
- Budget Management: Manage the budget for the Extra Care Scheme, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and responsibly.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to monitor and improve service delivery, working towards achieving and maintaining high standards of care and housing.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 5 in leadership and management and relevant mandatory training
- Flexibility to share the on call rota
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Proven experience in care management, preferably in an CQC regulated services, extra care or assisted living settings.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in the care and housing sector.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of older adults.
Interview Process
These stages have been put in place to help benefit and streamline the process of recruitment.
1st Stage - Shortlisting & Pre-Screening Interview
Shortlisting will begin W.C 8th January. In the first stage I will review your CV. Should you be successful, I will invite you for a telephone call to discuss your right to work, work history, and suitability for the role, and any questions you may have.
2nd Stage - Formal Interview
In this stage, you will have a formal interview with the hiring manager.
