Bleu Castle Childcare Centre is a nurturing and creative environment dedicated to the growth and development of young children. What's unique about us is that our management team has combined over 30 years of experience in the Early Childhood sector and is involved in the day-to-day running of the centre.
This opportunity is a full-time attachment to our childcare centre under mentorship with a mentor teacher. The trainee teacher will be coached through the apprentice program undergoing the Diploma in Early Childhood Education course and will be able to assume the role of a Childcare Teacher upon completion of the course on the following:
Entry course requirements:
- Local Polytechnic Diploma and obtained a GCE O level credit of B4 in English (EL1) or a minimum band 6.5 in IELTS (Academics); OR
- Obtained a Degree with English as the medium of instruction from a state-recognised university
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient towards children is an advantage
- Able to work well independently as well as within a team
Job responsibilities:
The Trainee Teacher will assist the English Teacher and the Principal in the execution of professional duties and responsibilities.
- Working with English Teacher, provide appropriate learning experiences for children within an inquiry, play-based context
- Assist the English Teacher in documenting the children’s learning through contributions via newsletters, portfolios etc.
- Create a warm and nurturing environment for children
- Build and maintain close partnership with parents

Upon Completion of the course:
You will be conferred the Diploma in Early Childhood Education by recognised awarding institutions and will be qualified to teach Playgroup, Nursery, K1 and K2 children from 18 months to 6 years old.
