An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Applications Operations Engineer to join our friendly and supportive IT Technology Department.
This senior role within the Infrastructure & Applications Operations Team is ideal for an experienced third-line engineer with strong skills in Azure, Exchange, Virtualisation, and Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and technically minded, with a proven track record in providing efficient and effective support services.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the council’s core infrastructure applications, ensuring their reliability and security.
Provide support across the entire council at all levels.
Offer expert, in-depth technical advice and guidance on issues related to the council’s applications, including but not limited to unified comms, Active Directory Services, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, as well as apps, network & security config.
Provide in-depth support for complex solutions involving technologies from Microsoft, VMware, Forcepoint, Barracuda, Trellix, and Dell.
Lead the comprehensive analysis of solutions for specific business requirements, presenting various options and a recommended course of action.
Qualifications and Skills:
Extensive proven experience as a third-line engineer.
Strong expertise in Azure, Exchange, Virtualisation, and Microsoft 365.
Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and technically minded.
