Do you have a passion for food? Does seeing people enjoy your cooking bring you joy? We are looking for a College Chef for our Peterborough Campus. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the College kitchen and supervising the chefs and catering staff, in the planning, preparation, cooking and serving of meals to students and staff across all outlets, whilst at the same time meeting the highest standards of hygiene and catering for a variety of dietary requirements. The outlets are The Lounge, including Deli-Bar, a Costa café and vending on the main campus, as well as an outlet at the University Centre Peterborough and provision of meals to the children at the College Nursery, both of which are on the Park Crescent College campus.
The College Chef will oversee planning for and provision of food for the children in the College Nursery, but is supported by a full year Chef dedicated to preparing the Nursery food.
The successful candidate will liaise with the Catering Manager who supervises on a day to day basis, advising on food safety, hygiene, allergens and agreeing menus across the outlets.
The Catering Team are very much a central part of the College, and strive to ensure that our students and staff get access to a wide range of healthy, good quality food options which are value for money.

Technician, Multi Skilled, working within the Estates Team. Basildon, Luckyn Lane, and Town Centre, plus Stephenson Road, Eastwood Campuses. The group is currently home to a population of over 5,000 full-time students and around 500 students on higher education programmes. We have over 4,000 part-time or adult learners and 2,000 apprentices where we work with over 800 individual employers. We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified individual who will play a crucial role in realising the department's strategic objectives. You will be an inspiring lecturer with a background in delivering Vocational Business and the ability to deliver varied, high quality and imaginative sessions and have a record of good achievement rates.

You will be teaching across a range of units on the T-Level, BTEC Level 2 and 3 curriculum programmes. Topics range from finance, branding, visual merchandising, team building and many others. We are also excited to be delivering another T-Level route focused on Financial Legal Services from September 2024.

Our ideal candidate will be an inspiring lecturer who has a proven record of innovation and a pro-active approach to delivery including to Level 2 and the Level 3 provision in Business. You will have also demonstrated an understanding and sensitivity towards the needs of your learners and use this to help them reach their true potential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver a flexible and innovative curriculum that is responsive to feedback from current learners and anticipates likely changes in demand from future learners. Particular emphasis will be focused on the rapidly growing T-Level Business and Legal Finance provision within the department.
• To deliver excellent teaching, learning and assessment processes. A proportion of which maybe remote teaching, learning and assessment via appropriate platforms where required.
• Undertake the day-to-day co-ordination of staff within the course team so that the College can achieve its overall objective of being excellent in all areas.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS).
• A proven record of delivering teaching and learning to a consistently high standard.
• Able to communicate effectively with students and peers.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of current teaching practice within the curriculum area.
• Awareness of the increasing expansion and successful delivery of T-Level Business and Legal Finance provision.

Oxfordshire Adult Learning (OAL) are recruiting for a Community Learning/ Multiply Lecturer to join our teaching team on a full-time, permanent basis.

OAL is a large, award winning faculty of Abingdon and Witney College. We aim to

maximise access to learning for adults in Oxfordshire, widening participation and

transforming the health, social and economic wellbeing of individuals, families and

their communities. We offer a wide range of courses including GCSE and Functional

Skills in English and Maths, ESOL, Community Learning, and leisure learning

courses at a variety of venues throughout Oxfordshire.

The ideal candidate for this role will be enthusiastic about supporting learners in the

community to improve their confidence, enabling them to make progress towards

personal or employability goals. You must have the ability to engage and connect

with learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.

You will teach on a wide range of community learning courses such as employability

skills, basic digital skills and everyday practical numeracy skills, e.g., building

confidence with numbers, money and budgeting, as part of the Multiply programme.

Multiply is part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund offer that focuses on improving

adult numeracy skills.

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.

This role may be eligible for the 'Taking Teaching Further (TTF)' programme, which supports professionals as they move into teaching in the further education sector. Support from the TTF programme can include an initial reduction in teaching workload and enrolment onto teacher training.
