Role Overview
As a Project Executive for repainting projects, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of high-standard painting and surface refurbishment projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, including client relations, quality control, and post-completion tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Oversight and Strategic Planning
- Scope Definition: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to define the project scope, including surfaces, materials, and project goals.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, accurately estimating costs for labor, materials (paints, primers, coatings), and equipment.
- Timeline and Scheduling: Establish project timelines, ensuring efficient sequencing of tasks such as surface preparation, painting, and inspections while considering external factors like weather conditions.
2. Quality Control and Inspections
- Surface Preparation Oversight: Ensure proper surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, priming) to guarantee high-quality paint adhesion and durability.
- Material Specification Adherence: Ensure that specified paints and coatings are used, meeting required durability, finish, and environmental standards (e.g., low-VOC paints).
- Inspections and Approvals: Conduct regular site inspections to verify that all quality standards are met, culminating in a final inspection with client approval.
3. Client Relations and Satisfaction
- Client Updates: Provide clients with regular progress reports, ensuring they are informed of milestones and any changes or challenges.
- Change Management: Handle client-requested changes, manage change orders, and integrate new requests into the project plan smoothly.
4. Post-Project Completion
- Final Walkthrough and Handover: Lead a final walkthrough with the client to review completed work, ensuring all specifications have been met to their satisfaction.
- Defect Rectification: Manage any post-project touch-ups or warranty-related issues to ensure long-term client satisfaction.
- Project Documentation: Finalize and archive all project documentation, including budgets, contracts, and client communications, for future reference and compliance.
