We are recruiting for a Premium Auditor to join our St. Louis, MO team to conduct physical and virtual audits. Approximately 65% of the audit territory is in Missouri, heavily focused on the greater St Louis area, with the balance in Eastern Kansas, Iowa, and assisting virtually in other territories.  This is a remote position that will ideally sit in the Greater St. Louis area and would include 10% to 15% overnight travel.  However, this role could sit remote in the Kansas City area, which would include 40% to 50% overnight travel.

Position Summary:

Performs comprehensive audits to acquire and analyze accounting, financial, and operational data, ensuring compliance with company, industry, and government regulations. Develops and implements auditing strategies to optimize accuracy in audited premiums. Responsibilities:

• Communicate with policyholders and/or their agents to obtain required exposure information contained within payroll, sales, subcontract cost and other relevant records.

Requirements:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of financial analysis related activities that help support operational objectives.  Supports leadership and operations with financial analysis, projections, benchmarking and reporting.  Supports other financial planning and analysis functions which includes special projects and ad-hoc analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with company forecast and budget processes including, but not limited to, budget system administration, coordinating with other departments, and providing support to internal customers.

We are recruiting for a Senior Actuarial Consultant to join our team!  This position can work hybrid in our Farmington Hills, MI office, or sit remote from most locations in the U.S.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision, perform the highest-level actuarial analysis to support rate indications, loss reserving and/or financial modeling including data collection and internal controls implementation.  As an expert in the field with a broad knowledge, initiate and lead actuarial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability, reserve accuracy or model results.  Recommend pricing, reserving or modeling outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect data, perform analyses, and present results for pricing indications, loss reserve reviews and /or financial modeling.  Very familiar with performing actuarial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability, reserve accuracy, or modeled results including the development of appropriate methodologies and monitoring systems. Attend committee meetings regarding pricing indications or loss reserves. Due to a retirement, Amerisure is recruiting for a Coverage and Litigation Manager to join our team. This role can be remote from most locations in the U.S.; however, preferred locations are near our following offices:  Atlanta GA, Chicago IL, Dallas TX, Farmington Hills MI, or Tampa FL.

Position Summary:

Collaborates with and provides legal advice, coverage analysis, and training to claims staff. Prepares coverage opinions and coordinates with senior internal and external legal counsel on complex insurance coverage matters. In partnership with claims, manages coverage and extra-contractual litigation. Responsible for handling Amerisure’s subpoena responses.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with and advise claims department regarding coverage issues including providing formal and informal coverage opinions.

• Coordinate with senior internal counsel and external counsel on complex matters as necessary.

• Provide legal advice regarding insurance policy interpretation based on applicable case law.

• Provide counsel regarding strategy and recommended course of action to resolve coverage issues.

• Manage coverage and extra-contractual litigation against the company.

• Manage Amerisure’s subpoena response process.

• Collaborate and provide legal advice to claims and underwriting departments regarding development and revisions to coverage forms.

• Create and conduct training for claims and underwriting staff regarding insurance coverage law and emerging trends.

• Evaluate risk transfer provisions in contracts in support of field underwriting and risk management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

• Licensed to practice law in the state of primary location.

• Licensed to practice law in other operating locations preferred.

• 5 years commercial insurance coverage/commercial general liability experience.

• 5 years civil litigation or claims litigation experience preferred.

• Proficient in on-line legal research through Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar service.

• Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.

• Ability to lead discussions, make presentations and deliver technical subject matter to a non-technical audience.

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Amerisure is adding a new role to support our Claims Department. We are recruiting for a Claims Operational Excellence Manager. This role will have a 3-day hybrid approach onsite in our Farmington Hills, Michigan office. The ideal candidate will have experience with managing multiple projects to deadlines, time management skills, and the vision to align goals with the company and department. 

Summary Statement

A key role responsible for partnering with Claims department leaders to optimize and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Claims operations.  Serves as a strategic partner to the Vice President of Claims and senior Claims leaders.  Plays a pivotal role in streamlining processes, improving information flow, participating in selection of vendors and digital solutions to support service excellence and a positive employee experience.

Essential Tasks/Major Duties

• Collaborate with the Claims leaders to develop and execute strategies for improving service operations, aligning them with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Foster a culture of performance by working in partnership with department leaders to create, track, and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
• Identify opportunities to enhance service operations, streamline workflows, and eliminate inefficiencies, with focus on improving both the customer and employee experiences.
• Create solutions via curiosity and an attitude of continuous improvement by collecting relevant information and insights and fostering an environment of openness and collaboration with stakeholders and other constituencies. 
• Manage and support special projects ensuring timely completion and successful implementation of key initiatives.
• Establish and maintain systems for efficient information flow within the department, facilitating data-driven decision-making processes.
• Identify and prioritize key relationships critical the Claims department initiatives, supporting those involved to drive successful collaboration and outcomes.
• Attend leadership meetings to capture action items, track deadlines, and ensure projects and processes move forward as planned.
• Proactively anticipate issues that require diplomacy and situational sensitivity, providing solutions and guidance to mitigate potential challenges.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, competitors, and emerging technologies relevant to department operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience.
• Lean Six Sigma or Project Management certifications, preferred.
• 5 years insurance experience or experience in a related field.
• 3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated successful ability to lead people and get results through others.
• Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a fast paced, highly visible, and changing environment.
