We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Specialist in Perfluorocarbons (PFC) Abatement and Airborne Microcontaminant (AMC) Control Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies to reduce PFC emissions, and contribute to achieving net zero emissions in the semiconductor industry. Through in-depth evaluation with the customer teams on best fit airborne microcontaminants control measures and implementation, contribute in achieving the production yield enhancement in the semiconductor industry. This role requires a deep understanding of environmental regulations, advanced abatement technologies, and AMC control methods.
Key Responsibilities:
PFC Abatement:
Develop and implement effective strategies for the abatement of perfluorocarbons emissions in compliance with environmental regulations.
Air-borne microcontaminant Control:
Design and manage systems to control airborne microcontaminants, ensuring a clean and safe environment in industrial facilities.
Net Zero Emissions:
Contribute to the company’s goal of helping customers achieving net zero emissions in the semiconductor industry by developing and implementing sustainable practices and technologies.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all abatement and air-borne microcontaminant control processes comply with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
Technology Implementation:
Evaluate and implement advanced technologies for PFC abatement and air-borne microcontaminants control.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Conduct regular monitoring of emissions and air-borne microcontaminant levels. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management and regulatory bodies.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC-MS, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Capable of high attention to detail and accuracy in conducting analyses and interpreting data.
Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of abatement and control measures.
Training and Education:
Provide training to staff on PFC abatement and air-borne microcontaminant control procedures and best practices.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, production, and environmental teams to integrate abatement and control solutions into existing processes.
Incident Response:
Develop and implement response plans for air-borne microcontaminant incidents, ensuring swift and effective mitigation.
Research and Development:
Stay updated on the latest advancements in abatement technologies and air-borne microcontaminant control methods. Conduct research to develop innovative solutions.
Sustainability Initiatives:
Lead and participate in sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental impact of manufacturing processes.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry groups, and community organizations, to promote best practices in PFC abatement and air-borne microcontaminant control.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage budgets for abatement and air-borne microcontaminant control projects, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of abatement and air-borne microcontaminant control projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Innovation:
Drive innovation in abatement and air-borne microcontaminant control technologies, exploring new methods and materials to enhance effectiveness and sustainability.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required for collaboration with technology partners, client site assessments, audits, and regulatory meetings.
Requirements:
Educational Background: Min. Master’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry , Analytical Chemistry or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering and development work environment, with a focus on PFC abatement and airborne air-borne microcontaminant control.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of PFC abatement technologies, airborne air-borne microcontaminant control methods, and environmental regulations.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in monitoring and reporting.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present complex information clearly.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in environmental monitoring software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certifications: Certification in environmental management or related fields (e.g., CEM, QEP) is preferred.
Independence: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial processes and materials that contribute to PFC emissions and airborne air-borne microcontaminant.
Industry Experience: Experience in industries with significant PFC emissions and air-borne microcontaminant control needs, such as semiconductor manufacturing or chemical processing preferred
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and standards.
Certifications: Additional certifications in environmental engineering or related fields is an advantage.
