Due to increased demand within the department, our client now has a requirement for a Machine Tool Service Engineer to be based around the Reading area (within 30 miles). 365 Resourcing is the preferred supplier to Mazak.

The Role
The purpose and remit of the Machine Tool Service Engineer role:

– Service and repair CNC Machines.
– Work to schedules to ensure customer demands are met.
– Provide customer with a first class service.
– Ensure all activities are completed within Health and Safety guidelines.

The Candidate
The Machine Tool Service Engineer experience and qualifications required:

* Knowledge of CNC machine tools and servicing/repairing them.
* Mechanical bias but able to take on Electrical tasks as required.
* Able to CNC fault diagnosis using PLC.
* Knowledge and understanding of servo systems. (Mitsubishi and Siemens an advantage)
* Highly motivated, proactive and innovative to help improve processes.
* Clear communication at all levels of the customer organisation.
* Ability to work under pressure but still work to very high standards.
* Strong problem solving ability.
* Flexible approach to a varied workload.

The roles and responsibilities of the Customer Technical Support Engineer role are:

An Engineer with Electrical or Mechanical knowledge and understanding of Mazak machine tools.
Experienced in Mazatrol controls, machine operations and axis movements.
Understanding of Mazak product range of machines.
Desk based role supporting Customers in the field.
Experienced of fault diagnosis.
Understanding Mechanical drawings and schematic electrical drawings.
Understanding the structure of machines and how they work.
Working alongside current engineers supporting customer requirements.
Identification of parts from current manuals.
Creating incidents for workflow within the team.
Person Specification:

Computer literate.
Committed.
Flexible working.
Customer facing.
Can communicate with customers at all levels.
Report writing.
Administration.
Excel/ PowerPoint/ Word.

The Role:

The purpose and remit of the Spindle Build Engineer role:

- Mechanical fitting of spindles and testing to ensure quality production.

- Ensure all activities are completed within Health and Safety guidelines.

- Actively engage with all company Quality Control initiatives.

- Reduce the amount of reworked parts or amendments.

The Candidate:

The Spindle Build Engineer experience and qualifications required:

* Previous mechanical, fitting and assembly experience is preferred.

* Ability to work to tight tolerances and use hand tools and measuring equipment.

* Strong communication skills working with Supervisor, Team Leaders and peers on the shop floor.

* Team player who can work to targets and deadlines.

* Highly motivated, proactive and innovative to help improve processes.

* Build relationships with the team and supply areas.

* Ability to work under pressure but still work to very high standards.
