Operating boring machines to drill holes for pipes, cables and other construction projects

· Ensuring that the machines are working correctly and safely

· Checking that the machines are correctly set for the job

· Adjusting machine settings to suit the material being drilled

· Ensuring that the machine is producing the correct size and shape of hole

· Using hand tools to clean and smooth the surface of the drilled hole
