About the role:

THIS IS AN UNDERGRADUATE Summer only INTERN position located in the Greater Boston area with the ability to sit in our office in Boston in a hybrid capacity. Only full-time students will be considered.

This position performs a variety of internship assignments that supports the Human Resources team for the benefit of our teammate programs.  Responsibilities include HR projects and administration.  This position is a part time role, within our virtual profit center and has accountability for in-office work in Boston on a regular basis. 

Core Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Will assist with filing of personnel and confidential teammate files in Sharepoint in accordance with established Brown & Brown best practices and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations

• Supports teammate communications process, drafting HR announcements and all-teammate communications under the direction of our HR team

• Administrative support for HR projects and administration

• Supports the activities of our Culture Committee on projects and virtual events

• Supports the HR Leader with activities related to the Company’s Mental Health Teammate Resource Group (ERG)

• Assists in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, follows up with candidates when appropriate and communicates effective messaging on behalf of our companies

• Assists as needed in the teammate Onboarding process for new hires

• Assists in preparing documents, such as offer letters and employment agreements under the direction of our HR teammates.

• Supports the HR team with ad hoc requests or HR projects as needed

Skills needed:

• Must be actively pursuing a college degree in an HR-related field

• Familiarity with MS Office 365

• Professional demeanor, willingness to learn

• Flexibility to perform a wide variety of tasks and to learn about the business

• Ability to commit to the summer term

About the Role:

This position performs a variety of assignments that support the herronpalmer team.  Responsibilities include projects and program administration activities.  This position is a part time role, within our virtual profit center. 

Essential Duties:

• Rotation and introductions to different portions of our business, team leaders and staff roles
• General support of consulting-led projects, such as
  • proposal reviews
  • data audits
  • implementation testing (using test plans created by consultants)
• market and provider research and data analysis Maintain client benchmark database as directed by consulting leads
• Development/update of intellectual property as directed by consulting leads (databases, surveys, templates, workbooks)
• Support consultants with client meeting planning, agenda drafts, notetaking, etc.
• 1 on 1 career coaching and navigation with our HR team regarding career paths, company culture, components of a job offer (ours or any other), and full-time positions open now or in the future across our sister company teams (herronpalmer and Pacific Resources) and more broadly (Brown & Brown family of companies).

Skills Required:
