Location: Home based in the Bristol/Cheltenham area, to cover the area of south Midlands/south Wales.

Contract Offered: Full-time, 6 months temporary, with the view to going permanent.

Working Hours / Shifts: 12pm to 8pm, alternating weekly between Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday. Flexibility will be required.

What does the Driver role involve?

This role is responsible for making trips between our various clinics and sites ensuring that samples are collected / delivered on time. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:

• Make multiple trips daily between our third-party clinics, Randox Health Clinics and Laboratories.
• Conduct a sample count on each trip and complete required documentation when transporting samples. Witness the accessioning count upon delivery.
• Collect stock orders and deliver them to the required site.
• Complete a daily vehicle checklist at the start of each day.
• Record vehicle milage in the provided logbook.
• Ensure vehicles are filled with the correct fuel and Ad Blue, if required.
• Adhere to all speed limits and road laws.

Full on the job training will be provided on our processes.

Position Description:
As a Truck Driver at BTSG Haulage Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for operating a variety of trucks to ensure safe and efficient transport of diverse loads across designated routes. Our company, a leading entity in trucking and transportation within Western Australia, emphasizes providing high-quality and affordable services tailored to the specific needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely drive and operate different types of trucks as per the operational requirements.
Carefully maneuver vehicles into position for the efficient loading and unloading of goods.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order and compliant with safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and travel logs in accordance with company policies and road transport legislation.
Coordinate with the logistics team to plan routes and track delivery details.
Ensure timely maintenance of the vehicle to avoid disruptions and maintain safety standards.
Follow all traffic laws and establish routes to ensure timely deliveries.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns related to transportation.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Cert II in transport or related.
A valid heavy vehicle driving license appropriate for the class of vehicle being driven.
Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
Strong attention to detail and safety-oriented approach.
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
Ability to work independently and handle physical demands of the job.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
