The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) performing such duties as removing, installing, adjusting, aligning, inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components such as airframe, landing gear, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, and hydraulic, pressurization, utility, fuel, oil, pneumatic, and flight control systems and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

Responsibilities:
1: Performs inspection and troubleshooting on a variety of aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components in accordance with applicable technical orders/commercial manuals (C40 only) and specifications.

2: Positions, maintains, disassembles, repairs, and reassembles aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components in accordance with applicable technical orders and specifications.

3: Accomplishes aircraft maintenance and equipment record keeping, both manual and automated, associated with aircraft maintenance and repair.

4: Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations, and maintains a safe and clean work area.

5: Verifies and certifies work processes and procedures and adequacy of work accomplished by certified co-workers and trainees.

• You will be responsible for performing storage management Personal Property Shipping Office (PPSO) functions to include ordering, monitoring, and coordinating personal property storage requirements.
• You will serve as a Task Order Official (booking agent) for Marine Corps members, their dependents, and U.S. Marine Corps federal employees.
• You will identify all required services needed to complete storage shipments, exercise knowledge of the program required to engage the appropriate external agency and/or execute within assigned Task Order authorities.
• You will notify members/employees of storage expiration dates and approve/disapprove request for storage extensions.
• You will notify Transportation Service Provider (TSP)/contractor if shipment is to be converted to commercial storage and perform all other duties incident to storage management.
• You will coordinate storage for units deploying over 90 days to include the pickup and delivery of storage per Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune directive, contract, and various Marine Corps orders.

• You will process and maintain supply records, hand receipts and property accountability records.
• You will maintain quarterly Custodian Asset Report (CAR) accounts and daily transaction listings.
• You will research and resolve minor problems that are identified during Custodian Asset Report (CAR) reconciliations.
• You will serve as the primary Department credit card purchaser.
• You will establish and maintain a system of credit card purchases, reconcile monthly transactions with current banking institution, and maintain current status of all credit card purchases.
• You will advise customers on the status of purchase requests and follow up with vendors to ensure prompt delivery of items.
• You will be required to load and unload goods.
• You will operate motor vehicles and trucks to transport supplies, materials, equipment, and tools.

Procedures (SOPs) which document the processes and procedures for cleaning, disinfection, sterilization and preparation of RME appropriate to this position. The incumbent will be able to demonstrate their ability to utilize an acceptable proficiency in the use of RME appropriate to this position.

This is a developmental performance level position in Sterile Processing Service as a Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing Technician). In this position, the incumbent will provide sterilization, preparation, supply items and reusable medical equipment decontamination and distribution support for the medical center. The term supply item refers to disposable and reusable items for patient care including instrumentation (scissors, forceps, retractors, etc.), reusable medical equipment (suction machines infusion pumps, etc.), surgical trays and sets and various other items that could be processed or assembled through the Preparation and Decontamination areas of Sterile Processing Service.

This is a developmental performance level MST position. Receives contaminated critical and semi-critical RME in decontamination area and may receive noncritical equipment in the decontamination area as well.
Disassembles the RME and determines the correct cleaning method, such as but not limited to ultrasonic cleaners, mechanical washers, cart washers and chemical cleaning/decontamination agents as determined by manufactures instructions. Inspects, prepares, assembles and determines the correct method and packaging for sterilization such as but not limited to steam, Sterrad, Steris, EtO and high-level disinfecting reprocess or, may processors, may prepare operating room case carts utilizing surgery schedule. Removes soil, blood, tissues fragments, body fluids and other contaminants by wiping, soaking, rinsing and scrubbing.

Inspects packages for indications of proper sterilization, assembles basic sets and trays used throughout the medical center including those used in the operating room. Performs segments of work pertaining to the decontamination, sterilization and inspection of reusable medical equipment (RME). Completes segments of work pertaining to the assembly of basic sets and trays for use in the medical center. Operates equipment involved in sterilization processes. May be required to prepare operating room case carts. Performs and documents daily operational checks and records for all sterilization equipment. MSTs
receive guidance from more experienced staff members and SPS management.

Preferred Qualifications
Hospital Experience in Sterile Processing and Decontamination

Preferred Certification(s)
SPD Technician Certification.

1. Observes, documents, and evaluates carrier and contractor performance. Inspects contractor's performance at owner's residence and at warehouse during packing, crating, loading, shipping, unloading, uncrating and unpacking.
2. Counsels members regarding policies and procedures for the proper preparation of personal property for shipment and/or storage, including specialized items, to domestic and overseas locations.
3. Prepares documentation reporting carrier performance using automated systems. Observes, documents, and evaluates performance of contractor on packing, containerization, and local drayage of personal property.
4. Provides oversight of the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) contract. Serves as a Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE), functionally qualified to ensure the Air Force receives quality contractor performed services and pays only for acceptable services received.
