The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position; to verify and analyze on and off equipment, malfunctions, troubleshoot, calibrate, modify, fabricate, test, align, inspect, repair, configure, de-configure, and load assigned integrated nuclear/conventional weapons delivery systems; and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

Duties:
1: Troubleshoots integrated nuclear/conventional weapons systems, electronic and electromechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, bomb navigation systems, subassemblies, Alternate Mission Equipment, and test equipment to determine nature of malfunctions and corrective actions required both on and off equipment.

2: Performs maintenance, repair, inspection, fabrication and modification of integrated nuclear/conventional weapons systems electronic and electro-mechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, bomb navigation systems, and their subassemblies for both on and off equipment.

3: Removes/installs integrated nuclear/conventional weapons systems electronic components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, bomb navigation systems, and subassemblies for both on and off equipment and associated test equipment. Controls tools, cleans work area and equipment and completes work control documents in accordance with established procedures. Certifies work produced under the USAF Technical Order Program, and complies with security regulations, directives, and policies.

4: Performs pretest, operational, functional, electrical, mechanical, and final testing of integrated nuclear/conventional weapon systems electronic components fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, bomb navigation systems, and their subassemblies both on and off equipment. Performs explosive operations, loads and unloads, positions, arms, and safes all assigned nuclear/conventional air munitions and pyrotechnics on assigned aircraft and or equipment.

5: Accomplishes configuration changes of integrated nuclear/conventional weapons control, launch, release, and suspension assemblies on assigned aircraft and equipment based on mission requirements. Plans and conducts training of reserve personnel, Active Duty and other employees.

About the opportunity:

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a temperature controlled Driver (van provided) to join our existing team based in our Birmingham Distribution Centre.

Reporting into the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for checking, loading and delivering orders to a range of customers on a predetermined route.

Manages Supply Interface Systems files to ensure validation of customer and stock requirements. Oversees and controls in-transit shipments and transfers to the Defense Re-Utilization Marketing Office. Processes unclassified, classified and sensitive item shipments. Verifies serial numbers on serialized controlled assets as well as process serial number loads prior to GLSC shipments. Processes routine shipments to include lateral support and redistribution orders (RDO). Manages the customer due-out validation program. Processes force due-out releases for customer demands. Cancels customer due-outs when item is no longer required for mission effectiveness. Validates due-ins and reviews and updates status from source of supply. Processes special requisitions (SPR). Manages the issue exception code program. Manages the Tracer Action Reconciliation (TAR) program to ensure all property shipped is received and potentially lost shipments are recovered. Coordinates the special requirements flag "R" program with the GLSC. Validates assignment of Stockage Priority Codes (SPC).

(2) Responsible for audit and control of all accountable supplies and equipment documentation. Performs quality control of transaction documents, identifies discrepancies, and coordinates with flight chiefs to correct the problems, and initiates reverse-post action when documentation errors are involved. Manages the delinquent documents program. Manages and files supply transaction reports per AFMAN 23-110. Researches computer document register to insure all transactions are processed. Identifies problems and trends, meets with flight chiefs to resolve difficulties, and recommends training. Responsible for managing the shipment suspense listing; coordinates with cargo movement element and central storage element to resolve discrepancies. Coordinates and maintains the personnel authorization listing for supply and support organizations for receipt of classified property. Maintains letters of authorization for customers to receive property and provide information, upon request, to the Supply Asset Tracking System (SATS) security administrator. Maintains copy of Forced Record Alteration (FIX) documentation.

(3) Performs base level Records Maintenance functions. Responsible to validate locally assigned exception codes and override records for National Stock Numbers (NSNs) semi-annually. With the exception of issue exception codes and additions or deletions of exception codes, phrases or modifiers will be coordinated with GLSC prior to processing. Maintains an updated copy of the Organizational Effectiveness Report. Maintains and publish current delivery destination listing. Researches, prepares and processes inputs to add, change or delete organizational records for the host, satellite and geographically separated units. Conducts all research actions when customers are not allowed to process their own item record loads, repair cycle loads, changes or deletions. Performs item and part number detail record loads for local purchase and part numbered NSNs only. Customer service and GLSC will jointly perform request for cataloging data/action. Verifies accuracy of Repair Cycle records.

(4) Performs MICAP verification, report and process cannibalization actions for non-maintenance customers. Establishes, upgrade, downgrade or cancels MICAP due-outs. Processes local manufacture (LM) MICAPs and corrects discrepancies identified by the GLSC resulting from MICAP Enterprise Supply Solution (ESS) reconciliation.

(5) For non-maintenance customers; establishes, maintains and deletes bench stocks in coordination with supported activities. For non-maintenance customers, reviews on-hand balances and processes replenishment actions. Upon coordination and agreement, the customer may assume the responsibilities for binning, inventory, etc. (Refer to Support Agreement Procedures for support of tenant activities). Schedules and conducts bench stock reviews with the organizations.

(6) Responsible to periodically visit/contact all shops to discuss adequacy of support, resolve problems, provide/receive information or conduct informal training as necessary.

(7) Conducts Demand Processing responsibilities for on/off base customer order requests.

1. Organizes, administers and evaluates a segment of the fuels quality assurance program for the organization. Ensures responsibilities for product compliance inspections of all petroleum activities. Draws fuel samples for frequencies and exact testing following procedures listed in appropriate technical orders. Determines status and adequacy of actions taken on prior inspection items and prepares accurate reports for management use. Conducts statistical surveys of petroleum products in areas where trouble had been encountered. Analyzes defect data, isolates trends and recommends corrective action. Investigates problem areas, identifies causes, recommends and takes corrective follow-up action. Verifies quality through the application of audit and investigative methods to ensure compliance with established guidelines. Advises responsible supervisors on quality problems and required corrective action. (30%)

2. Directs, inspects, operates and maintains a complete fuel distribution system(s) to receive, store, transfer and issue both aviation and ground fuels in a Type III hydrant system. Operates petroleum products distribution equipment by initiating and controlling the movement and storage of supplies throughout complete pipeline or tank farm systems, using telephone communications, signal systems, a central control board, or similar facilities. Inspects systems for leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and inoperative components such as distribution lines, storage tanks, hydrant pits/outlets, oil/water separator, pumps, automatic/manual valves, meters, and system control rooms. Performs operator maintenance to include checking components for operation, adjustment, pressures, and external leakage under pressure, removing/cleaning/inspecting receipt and dispensing strainers, calibrating additive injectors, draining water from lines, tanks, filter separator vessels and dike/containment areas. Reports more extensive repairs/needs. Receives and transfers fuel by coupling and uncoupling hoses, closing and opening valves, starting and stopping pumps, monitoring gauges, meters and filter separators. (30%)

3. Operates one or more types of special purpose design aviation and ground fuel tank truck vehicles having a capacity of up to 6,000 gallons and gross vehicle weight of 70,000 pounds used for fueling/defueling various types of aircraft and ground fuels applications such as AGE, power production, heating and engine test cells. Transports fuel from the bulk storage area to the flightline issue point, positions the vehicle for the refueling/defueling task as required. Monitors vehicle mounted main control panel, gauges, meters and instruments. Operates deadman control safety system and coordinates with personnel at the aircraft or receiving point. Exercises safety precautions during fueling/defueling operations. (15%)

4. Operates, inspects and performs all required maintenance and repair on 400-5,000 gallon storage tanks. Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs all aspects of mechanical & electrical systems and their subcomponents to include AC generators, complex wiring harnesses, regulators, automatic relays, AC and DC power generation circuitry, electrically controlled solenoids. As a results of such tests and diagnosis, and make necessary repairs and adjustments to obtain maximum operating efficiency. Utilizes electrical test equipment such as multi-meters to monitor system functionality and make repairs. Inspects, maintains, performs operator maintenance, and minor repairs to support equipment and cryogenic samplers to include the following: air purging units, vacuum gauges, vacuum pumps, portable efficiency meters, portable samplers and other support equipment that is required to maintain the cryogenic storage tank in a ready condition to receive, store and transfer LOX or LIN. Applies safety or precautionary procedures required in handling fluids. Analyzes, isolates, and corrects system malfunctions. Performs preventive maintenance on components and tanks, to include inspections. This includes routine maintenance/servicing of components such as compressors, safety valves, hand operated valves, pressure disks, filter/strainer assemblies, gauges, and various moving mechanical parts by disassembling, cleaning, accomplishing minor repairing or adjusting, and reassembling components.(15%)

5. Assess, monitor and reviews assigned Self-Assessment Communicators utilizing the Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) program. Uses and assures proper fit of required safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).Plans, monitors and conducts On-The-Job Training (OJT), for assigned Fuels Management Flight personnel.
