Job Requirements

• Diploma/ bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• Min. 10 years' experiencing working as Quality Assurance Analyst/ Tester in a bank, FI or a consultancy company.
• Familiar with defect management tools.
• Ability to understand technical jargons and some understanding of technology environment setup.
• Possess strong planning skill and is positive and proactive in his/her approach.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

We are seeking to recruit a highly experienced and organised Research Grants Manager to join our busy Research Grants team at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS), located at the Botnar Research Centre, Oxford.

This exciting position combines line management responsibilities for a small team alongside directly managing a portfolio of research groups. The postholder will be required to act as a financial guide, providing professional and flexible financial management to research groups, to support the achievement of the department’s strategic objectives. The post provides a crucial role in the running of the Botnar Institute, liaising between Botnar academics, University Professional Services teams and external grant funders.

You will work closely with colleagues within the Institute, departmental colleagues and Research Accounts throughout the lifecycle of grants; ensuring all eligible costs have been added to each grant and confirming total spend to allow accurate reporting to the funder. You will provide timely, regular and accurate reports and detailed analysis on the research funding portfolio, and associated risks, to the Principal Investigators and senior management, so that they have a sound financial evidence base to assess how best to utilise their grant budgets. • Provide L2 support for banking application software. • The ability to work well within a cross-functional team framework and be highly delivery focused

Previous exposure to immunology projects is an advantage, but is not necessary.

As a Travel Manager, you will assist colleagues and directors by supporting them with planning and managing client's travel and their planned trips. The work is entirely office based, and the need to travel outside the office is very uncommon. The ideal candidate will be the reference point for all queries, requests or issues and will be an integral part of the company’s workforce. The role is to support colleagues and to be in constant communication with the team and the director of the company. Roles & Responsibilities
1. Provide exceptional customer service by understanding and meeting customers' needs.
2. Develop and implement comprehensive travel policies tailored to client needs.
3. Manages the travel budget and negotiates favourable rates with service providers.
4. Coordinates and oversees all domestic and international travel bookings.
5. Maintains strong relationships with travel suppliers, resolving issues efficiently.
6. Provides expert support and assistance to clients with travel-related queries.
7. Tracks, analyzes and reports on travel program performance and expenditures.
8. Manages and optimizes travel booking systems and technological tools.
9. Promotes sustainable and environmentally friendly travel practices.


Requirements and skills
• Proven work experience as a Travel Manager or experience in similar field.
• Ability to communicate quickly and understand instructions.
• Ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritise tasks and workload.
• Business or management and attention to detail.
• Oral and written communication skills with pleasant, confident telephone manner.
• Teamworking, Reliability and honesty.
• Ability to plan your own work, use your initiative and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with office organization and optimization techniques
• High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability
• Proficiency in MS Office, word excel and PowerPoint.

Salary: £30000 to £33000.. depending on experience.
Working hours: 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Location: Leicester, United Kingdom.
