Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £28,551 (plus £1,500 South Eastern Allowance). On the current system, officers can expect to be earning a salary of more than £46,044 per annum by your seventh year in the job
We’re excited to be working with Bedfordshire Police who are now inviting applications to for Graduates for its Detective entry route. (Detective Degree Holder Entry Programme). *Please note, we do currently have an advert open for candidates who do not hold a degree.
Applicants are sought with a curious, inquiring mind, who think they have what it takes to be a Detective.
The accelerated detective programme, also known as Detective Degree Holder Entry Programme (D-DHEP) is a two-year programme that combines on the job learning alongside working towards a fully funded graduate diploma with Anglia Ruskin University, all whilst earning a competitive salary and making a difference.
Following successful completion of the two-year training period, you will be confirmed as a Detective Constable and posted within one of our specialist investigative teams.

What do you need?
· Indefinite leave and/or right to work in the UK, and have lived in the UK continuously for the last three years (unless you’ve been serving abroad with the British Armed Forces)
· A full manual driving licence (or you need to have passed your driving test by the end of year two of your training period)
· Degree or Level 6 qualification
