A day in the life of a Murphy People Business Partner

- Provide fully generalist HR support to key functional areas on a day to day basis
- Supporting the business to fully understand their key business performance issues, objectives and drivers, and associated people requirements for both the current and future business challenges
- Support the wider People team and business on People Reward & Recognition activity
- Manage benefits administration for core and flexible benefits, including renewals, resolving issues, and ensuring successful maintenance of employee reward & recognition schemes
- Contribute to the selection and management of appropriate external benefits providers, to ensure service quality, relevance, and commercial value
- Proactively seek ways to improve our benefits offering to remain competitive within the wider industry
- Responsible for the management and coordination of benefits renewals and enrolment processes
- Manage and develop the Reward communications calendar, activity and intranet content
- Provide pay and grading support using our existing framework and assume responsibility for the maintenance of our job families
- Manage the Promotion and Market Adjustment Process
- Support end-to-end annual pay and bonus process
- Provide appropriate and informative analysis, as required by the wider People Team and the wider business

- Experience as a HR generalist supporting a monthly and weekly paid workforce
- Experience of working with reward and benefits data and reporting skills
- Qualified to at least CIPD Level 5
- Working knowledge of the following: recognition schemes| pension scheme types | insurance benefits e.g., private medical insurance, income protections insurance, and life assurance schemes, flexible benefits schemes, and benefits available, job design, compensation analysis and market data would be ideal
- Advanced Excel skills are essential (including Macro programming and pivot tables to enable quick and efficient data analysis)
- Able to develop positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

What will I do?

This is a pivotal role as you’ll be the first impression a customer will have! No cold calling!  You’ll focus on maximising MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) and Group opportunities through new and existing enquiries whilst meeting client expectations.

About the Role

Due to our continued growth, we are now seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as Business Development Manager in our South Division.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as our Business Development Manager will be to provide professional commercial and marketing direction and support for the MMCG South Division.

Reporting into the Head of Business Development with a wider link to the regional operational teams, the role will be central in driving occupancy, revenue, new funding streams, and tender opportunities whilst providing a best practice commercial sales approach for the group. You will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with business development, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and developing and maintaining commissioner relationships.

Other responsibilities will include:

Research and identify new business opportunities including growth areas and new markets through analysis, lead generation, and networking.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, and key stakeholders

The development, and ongoing relationship with key partners for referrals - Social Services, Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards, Discharge Teams, Hospitals

Develop proposals tailored to the specific needs of prospective Commissioners

Review contracts, and pricing with commissioners to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes

Responding to invitations to tender and managing the bidding process

Developing and implementing plans to deliver budgeted occupancy and revenue targets.

Delivering the group’s proposition and increasing word of mouth recommendation aligned to the groups strategy.

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate must have:

Experience in a previous Business Development / sales position, essentially in the healthcare sector

A full driving license

A team ethic, with the ability to be decisive, self-motivated, proactive, flexible and adaptable.
