About the Role


We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and flexible Business Support Officer to provide comprehensive support in our Street Permitting area.


As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely processing of information regarding noticing/permit applications to ensure delivery of Network Management Duty performance targets set under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, The Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Highways Act 1980 and to assist in delivery of Network Management Duty.

Allen Motor Group are currently looking to employ a Sales Advisor to join our Ford dealership in Sittingbourne. This role is all about loving our customers – you’ll be managing and assisting with both face to face and digital enquires to make sure that they drive away in the right product.

As a Sales Advisor you’ll have some key tasks and activities within your area of responsibility:


Handing of inbound and outbound enquiries via email/telephone and digitally
Meeting personal and team-based sales targets
Guiding customers through the whole purchase process, advising on extended warranty, accessories, and financial products
Adhering to industry rules and regulations regarding the sale of financial products and insurance


This position is offered on a 5-day, 42 hour working week, with a £22,770 basic salary + uncapped commission, bonus and company car, reporting to the Sales Manager. The job does involve sales targets, achieving these targets in the right way for our customers meant that our average Sales Advisor earned £46,000 last year!

Do I need experience?

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Our 24-month Apprenticeship programme is designed to provide you with the perfect blend of practical on-the-job training and study towards the Sales Level 4 Apprenticeship standard. You will work within a successful Sales team while learning everything you need to know to be a top sales performer whilst supported by your peers, your managers, and the apprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel.

In the first part of your apprenticeship you will focus on getting to grips with delivering excellent customer service, and in the second part you will build on this foundation to develop specialist Sales skills - you may even be given your own Customer Service or Sales Account to manage! Beyond this, there is an opportunity for successful apprentices to secure a full time sales position, as well as achieving bonuses and pay rises connected to the apprenticeship programme.

Over the two years you'll be learning how to:

• Efficiently process bookings from clients and overseas agents on to our system.
• Provide operational support for the Sales Managers when required.
• Liaise with all relevant parties throughout the shipment to organise the movement of goods by providing exceptional customer service ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
• Deal with any issues that may arise during a shipment and ensure the client and/or Sales Manager is updated
• Process sales and purchase invoices of the branch
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and training sessions
• Make sales calls, engage and onboard new customers
• Analyse sales performance statistics and prepare/deliver customer review meetings

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• The minimum entry requirement for this apprenticeship is Five GCSEs at grades 3 - 9 / A*-D including Maths & English)
• Our company values candidates who are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a strong work ethic, and are able to communicate effectively with others. Good planning and organization skills is important and you will need the ability to multitask and be a self-starter.
• Previous use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.
• Please be aware that this vacancy does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship and for apprenticeship funding, candidates must have been resident in the EEA for at least the last 3 years.
