Facilities Management Business Partner

Field Based role covering a selection of Co-op Food Stores and Funeral branches in the South of the UK, in Birmingham, Worcester and Bristol - with some outlying sites. You must live in or close to these areas to be able to meet the travel requirements for the role.

In this role, we'll look to you to provide an excellent FM service to circa 130 sites. In this varied role, you'll build relationships with colleagues and suppliers across your region and at our support centre, becoming the key partner for any facilities issues. Your responsibilities will range from handling facilities escalations, to collating information to support decisions on strategy and investment. You'll also be our first response following major incidents such as crime and flooding so the ability to work under pressure and think on your feet is a must. It's a big job. In this role, you can expect to

* Deliver operational facilities management consistently and to a high standard across your sites
* Visit sites periodically, engaging and building relationships with field colleagues and partners
* Build meaningful relationships with 3rd party suppliers and make sure services are delivered to a high quality, in time and within budget
* Carry out property audits and inspections, making decisions on how to best maintain our assets in order to keep our colleagues and customers safe and our sites trading
* Work collaboratively with our property teams to support the delivery of capital programmes
* Play your part in providing out of hours support across your division on a rota basis
* Work closely with the senior business partner to plan activity and tackle more complex issues

This role will suit people who have

* Strong experience of working in an FM role and of managing single/multi sites
* Experience of supporting re-fit activity
* A talent for building and managing strong relationships with a broad range of colleagues, field leaders and partners
* Good general IT skills with the ability to use programmes in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams etc.)
* Great organisational skills: you'll be highly self-motivated and able to prioritise and organise your workload effectively and work on your own, whilst also being part of a high functioning team

• Property background - Experience as a Social Housing professional with subject matter expertise in Assets, Property Services, Development or Building Safety looking for a new challenge.
• Supply Chain/Merchants - Experience working within the supply chain providing materials, goods, and services to the Housing, Construction, Building Safety, Asset Management, &/or Property services sectors with knowledge of the relevant goods, services, prices, and people.
• Account Management & Business Development - A successful track record as a business development/account management/customer service management professional with a successful track record of effective new business development, looking after customers, and building relationships and selling services. Any experience of working with procurement frameworks or within the sectors desirable.

• Self-starter with a positive approach that is happy and motivated to be target driven but work in a team environment that understands social value.
• The capability to sell services, products or concepts to procurement, assets, property services, and development professionals.
• A consultative approach based on looking after customers, building positive relationships, and with the ability to turn ideas into action and results.
• A good understanding of creating value and managing costs.
• The ability to present at conferences, seminars, and workshops.

• Experience of the current Social Housing market, including current issues within development, compliance, building safety, property services and/or strategic asset management.
• Experience of selling services to the property/housing sector within the West Midlands.
• An understanding of the commercial construction market and new development.
