You'll join us at the newly rebranded voco Manchester, part of the IHG family. A modern 4 star, 189 bedroom hotel located in the City Centre, a 10-minute walk from Piccadilly Railway Station, with 4 event rooms that cater up to 120 people, and private 9th floor bar with city wide views.
What will I be responsible for as MICE Sales, Groups and Res. Sales Executive?
Working closely with your onsite Director of Sales and Sales Office Manager, you'll play a key part in driving revenue into our hotel - through managing and converting enquiries and finding innovative ways to maximise sales opportunities.
Duties Include:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts in order to produce group and/or convention business, to include room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services.
- Provide guests with information (example: loyalty programmes, area attractions, facility information) to enhance the guest experience.
- Communicate to appropriate departments all information requirements and special needs for arriving VIP's, large groups, and other key guests.
- Proactively market the image of the Hotel, company and the brand through quality customer care standards in accordance with the hotel's service style and philosophy.
- To ensure the effective handling of all sales enquiries (Christmas, Wedding, Events and M&E) in a timely, professional manner, following the correct procedures, working to the hotels selling strategy/ commercial plan.
- Maximise all revenue opportunities.
- Provide detailed information to the operations team ensuring all information regards events are communicated effectively.
- Conduct thorough show rounds of the hotel with both potential and existing clients
- Support further sales activity within the hotel as required
- To support the Hotel in identifying and collecting sales leads enquiries and cascading as appropriate.
- To grow and develop, existing customers through regular contact, meeting and greeting, follow up calls, etc.
Is this role right for me?
